This was another very long day just 2 days after a similar day trip to Prague with the same company. Our driver Marcus was very good, however, unlike the Prague tour, the Budapest tour does not include any guided walking through the city. There were a few stops where we hopped off the bus for photo ops. Later in the day we were given several hours to walk around on our own without guidance. I would have much preferred a guided walking tour in the city.

Peter, our personal guide, had a welcoming and very approachable personality. Moreover, his vast knowledge of multiple cultures was indispensable — certainly this experience would not have been nearly as informative and wonderful as it was, all thanks to Peter. Not only is this trip a very good value for the money, it has prompted me to take other White Alligator Tours. A hearty “thank you”!

Reaching Budapest from Vienna wouldn't have been possible for us without this tour. We were provided with a comfortable mini van which could seat 8 people at ease. Peter was our tour guide and he drove us as well. He was excellent, kind and explained every detail nicely. Peter took us to quite a few important monuments like Fisherman's Bastion, Buda Castle, Matthias, Hero Sq among many others and we halted everywhere. We enjoyed both Buda and Pest to our hearts content. We were given enough free time as well. Would really like to recommend this tour alongwith Peter.

The company provides a eonderful service, and our tour guide, Peter, was great. Add to that a well thought schedule/stops, and a beautiful city, Budapest.

We had a great adventure with Peter. He was more than friendly - and brought everything alive. It was fascinating to see all the spots- especially those where we weren't expecting to (like where they filmed Evita). They made the drive fascinating and ensured we had enough time to see everything and spend time on our own. The small tour was excellent - we had enough room in the van and time at each site. It was fascinating to learn more about the country's history and current politics and see how the historic, soviet, and modern influences converge. For us, it was the perfect amount of time in the city - we talked about maybe going back for a longer stay - but we saw so much this time!

My husband and I took three day trips with The white alligator company- Hallstatt, Budapest and Prague . We thoroughly enjoyed all 3 trips ! All were long days but well worth it. For our Budapest tour we were picked up by Marco. Very nice gentleman . Gave us a lot of History about Hungary . We stopped at numerous places for photo opportunities which was great. We did have three hours of free time which we felt was a lot . We loved Marco but would give this trip 4 out of 5 because 1- we didn’t have a local tour guide while in Budapest like other two tours and 2- most importantly we were put in last row which was fine for me but my husband who is 6 ft 4 inches tall could not sit up straight - sitting like this for 3 hours each way was extremely uncomfortable- we asked for different seats for Prague tour and were accommodated.
