So this experience was a 10 out of 10. G and Leo were amazing and full of knowledge. The tacos were soo delicious and I got sooo full, please go hungry! Highly recommend!

I don’t recommend this tour …. They sent an email confirming our pick up two days prior saying they will be picking us up 60-40 min prior the departure time . we was in the lobby way before that !
Tried to call the company, couldn’t send no email etc… THEY NEVER SHOWED UP AND WAS NO WAY TO GET OIT MONEY BACK . PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS TOUR ITS A SCAM

Diego is a very knowledgeable guide. Angel is very knowledgeable on the locations drop off and pick ups. Food is amazing and well curated. Not too little and not too much, capped with some time to shop or just sit around and relax. Well worth the money!

This was an amazing experience. E made the experience so fun, positive, and thoughtful. The tacos were amazing and fulfilling, the beers were refreshing. I would definitely recommend and planning on doing this again.

Best, most creative tacos I’ve ever had! Diego did a good job explaining everything and keeping everyone organized. Angel was a great driver. The night market was just OK. Good churros but typical selection of Mexican souvenirs. Fun night!

We booked this tour as part of our trip to Mexico this month as both myself and my husband wanted experience some authentic Mexican cuisine. This tour had great reviews minus some about a lack of communication when things go wrong- you always assume you won’t end up being one of the negative reviewers! How wrong I was! We booked the tour with a pick up time 4:40pm. 4:40pm came and went… we were still waiting. The tour operator sent me a message via Viator saying that the guide was in our hotel lobby- they weren’t. I immediately replied to ask whether the guide has perhaps got the incorrect hotel as there are two of the same brand hotel in very close proximity to each other. No reply. I tried calling straight away to rectify this- no answer. Our hotel tried and again, no response. We called it a no show and headed back to our room and disappointedly called Viator who were very helpful and would attempt to call the tour operator themselves- again no response. At this point I was happy to rearrange for an alternative date. 2 hours later, we got a reply from Cancun Food Tours- they were adamant that they had come to our hotel and we were the no show, which simply wasn’t true! We reconfirmed the address and location pin to which they again, claimed they were in our lobby and had to leave. This frustratingly went back and forth. I ended up asking for photographic proof of the guide at our lobby- which they actually had… except, lo and behold, it was the lobby of the hotel that is a 5 minute drive away. I’m not sure why they didn’t send this until I asked? I replied and confirmed that this was not our hotel as stated on our booking and from then on we had ZERO communication from Cancun Food Tours. Viator also had no luck in contacting them for our refund. Viator ended up having to process our refund after a 72 hour response period which unfortunately the tour operator failed to respond within. I’m sure the tour would have been fantastic as all the reviews suggest- but unfortunately not great at all when something goes wrong. A complete lack of communication, customer service and competency which was hugely disappointing for us!

This was the best experience! Diego the tour guide is incredibly hospitable, knowledgeable, and open about sharing his passion for Mexican cuisine. Take a tour around the flavors of Mexico with 4 different tacos, your choices of several Mexican beers or NA aguas Frescas (horchata, aguas tamarind, hibiscus etc). At the end of the tour you get fresh churros from a street vendor then about 20-25 minutes to wander and souvenir shop in a night market. Safe fast pick up and drop off right from our resort in the hotel zone. The length of the tour was just right. Not so short, and didn't drag on. Our tour ended up being 4 couples plus Diego, all strangers and conversation flowed comfortably. (It's hard not to be friendly when you are eating fantastic tacos, tostadas and drinking a Bohemian Amber! Our group was primarily 20-30 somethings and adventurous BUT Diego makes the entire experience so approachable that im confident that even a shy traveler or picky eater would feel comfortable trying new things.
WELL worth the value of the trip booked on Viator. We will be going more food tours with this vendor next time we return to Cancun. And we don't typically repeat experiences!

Diego was our guide and he was so nice. I’d like to look through their other tours and see what else they offer. Definitely would book with them again. And the food was so good!! We lived trying local beers and the other drinks they offered.

You should definitely book this tour if you want to have a local experiece, hear the stories about Cancun and Mexico, eat a lot of great Tacos and enjoy the tour guide company (G was a great knowledgable guide and made sure we were enjoying the experience!)
