Itinerary
This excursion starts and finishes at the Salto do Cabrito Waterfall, an amazing place located near to the city of Ribeira Grande and Caldeira Velha in São Miguel Island (+/- 20 minute drive away from the city of Ponta Delgada). When we get there, we will proceed with the equipment distribution and a safety briefing, followed by a walk of around 30 minutes on average until we reach the canyoning site where the fun will begin!
After a new briefing with a few more instructions, we begin the descent of this canyon, passing through several waterfalls and surrounded by the exuberant nature of this volcanic area.
The descent is made through several rappels (between 4 and 16 metres) and for unforgettable moments of fun, there is also the option of a zip-line. The highest rappel is approximately 16 metres and you can optionally make a jump of approximately 3 metres.
NOTE:
– The exact itinerary including jumps, rappel and other techniques will depend on local conditions and seasons. The terrain, landscape and flow of the stream normally change throughout the year.

Pick-up will be provided at or close to the place of your accommodation. When the activity is over, we will drop you off at the same place. Consider this for the city of Ponta Delgada (for other areas, please contact us).

Such a great day! Started off with a 30-40 minute uphill hike in a wetsuit!! That’s the only part that sucked. Everything else was really fun. We had great weather, the guides were great and they kept us all safe. They even sent us copies of the pics and videos they took throughout the day!

Great experience overall! The water is cold, but the wetsuit helps tremendously. Our guides, Daniela and Inês, are true gems! They’re great teachers and make the experience fun. Must do activity in Sao Miguel.

We had to change at the last minute from Salto do Cabrito to Ribeira dos Caldeiroes because of all the rain. We had a great time Canyoning with Diogo and Rodrigo. They did a great job! It was just challenging enough for our group and very safe. We had a blast jumping off the waterfalls. Highly recommend going.

We are senior citizens and had the time of our lives! My favorite part was repelling down the waterfall and then jumping into a pool of water! We highly recommend this tour operator!!!

Fun tour, great guides and very friendly participants from Germany, Canada and Estonia. Excellent safety measures in place with proper rappelling technique and equipment. The wet suits were in excellent condition and the supplied shoes provided excellent traction on slippery rocks. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who is suitably fit.

An amazing experience! Our three guides were fantastic and we had an excellent time rappelling, hiking, a bonus zip line, and the waterfalls were stunning! The company was very organized, great communication, equipment was very high quality and they even took photos and videos for everyone - highly recommend if you love adventures!
