AMAZING! This was so much fun! My 2 daughters and I (51, 30 & 29) and I did the level 2 canyoneering. It was all of our first times. There were 9 in our group, everyone was physically fit, I was the oldest. The going down part was the easy part. You need to hike up after which everyone did fine but if someone is not used to hiking, it might take a little longer.
John & Pedro were our guides and oh my goodness, I’m not sure what we enjoyed more, the trip or them! They are hilarious and fun but they made it very clear that safety is always first.
These 2 have the best chemistry together. Everyone in our group loved them. We now want to do level 3 because of them.
Recommendations: wear your swim suit and easy clothes to change into after (shorts and sweatshirt or big shirt.) Women, may not want really long nails, it’s nice to not worry about these kinds of things. Have your hair in a braid or pony but low, you’ll wear a helmet the whole trip. Bring a towel. Their shoes, water socks and wetsuits were clean and dry when putting on. They do not bring wet stuff for you to put on, even for the afternoon tours.
Overall, this is a must do! They do have a level 1 trip for kids and if you’re not certain. But budget more time to do it again but level 2 :)

It was an amazing experience! Our canyoning guides Marcos and Ronaldo were super friendly, funny, and encouraging! They made it feel like we were getting the most out of the experience and very safe! They got great pictures of us, and the views were amazing! They also recommended us other food spots and adventurous activities to do while we were there. Cannot recommend enough

Alfredo and Ronaldo were excellent. We did a private intermediate excursion for our group of 6 ladies for canyoneering and it was amazing. They were super patient with those needing a little more courage and had a lot of fun with us. I would 100% recommend them!

I was on holiday in Madeira with my friends in March and we decided to book an Intermediate canyoning after asking for recommendation as we had never done anything like that before (done plenty of hiking though), and it was a great recommendation. Found it challenging but doable, Level 1 would have probably been fun but a bit too easy, and I enjoy some challenge!
Marta and Lucas were absolutely fantastic guides, friendly, professional and patient. (Worth mentioning none of us can swim, and they made it easy for us anyway!). It's an activity I really enjoyed, and I'd definitely do it again. Plus, the location was absolutely beautiful! Thank you again to Epic Madeira, and Marta and Lucas!

We had an unforgettable experience with Peter, André, Lucas and Belo from Epic Madeira. A thrilling canyoning day level 2 in beautiful gorges.. our best day so far! I really appreciated their professional attitude, making the experience fun but always safe (our 1st time, but hoping to be back for level 3 :-). Thank you very much team!!!

I'm thrilled with my experience with Epic Madeira. Despite booking our activity at the very last minute, the company was incredibly flexible and went above and beyond to accommodate our busy schedule.
