Best guide out there. Great humour and explained everything. At start we hiked for starting point, but it wasnt that far. When we arrived our guide gave us energy bar. Positive energy, without traumas because guide knew what he was doing. Recommended to try for yourself.

As a family of 4, with an 11yr and 12yr, Mum with dodgy hips and who really doesn't do heights and a Dad who does, it was always going to be an interesting day out!! We arrived at the arranged meeting point that had ample parking and was very easy for us to find. There we were met by the extremely friendly David and after introductions to others in the group, we were given a concise safety briefing, before we piled into his mini-bus that took us deep into the mountain-side to start the experience. I say that as it is an experience and what an experience it was!! After being given our wetsuits/harness and shown an ingenious way of carrying them (deffo using that one again!), we began our hike to the start of the canyoning following the stunning crytal-clear waters of the Rio Verde. The hike itself was great with some scrambling over and around rocks and ledges (indication of what's to come) with David giving lots of information along the way about the native plants, and even getting us to sample the edible ones. I could go into lots of detail, however for the sake of discovering for yourselves, all I'm going to say is this; there were points were I, (Mum) was quaking in my boots due to some of the challenges but with David's encouragement, professionalism and always attention to safety I pushed myself further than I ever would have wanted and achieved more than I thought I could. There were times when I couldn't watch the kids as they disappeared out of view over a cliff whilst listening to their screams of delight, swiftly followed by their Dad and a slightly bigger splash! It's not all extreme, so don't be put off! In between the adreneline were moments of pure bliss; just floating down the river whilst looking up at the surrounding mountains. David is an excellent guide and you will make unique memories that will last a lifetime!

Fantastic experience for 2 teenage boys, they absolutely loved it. Well organised by David, he made it really enjoyable for them. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful scenery and great canyoning experience. We did it in October but in case you have a chance to visit during the season where Oleanders bloom it must be even more amazing as they grow wild everywhere. It was really nice to have Javier as our local guide as he was both very funny and extremely careful to make sure we were always safe. As the advertisement promised a canyoning tour very well suited for beginners and definitely one to recommend!

Loved it!!! The incredible natural beauty of Rio Verde combined with an exhilarating adventure just blew my mind. Our guide, Ja vier, was a total star - very professional yet fun. He took superbe pictures of our day out - and set out a picnic afterwards.

We booked a Canyoning Tour for the end of September - it was a really great, unique experience. Communication before event was fast and clear. David took great care of us and made sure, everyone is fine and able to enjoy the experience. Location was breath-taking - crystal clear blue water and astonishing rock formations. Highly recommended!

We have had a great experience with this trip provided by Local experience adventures. The water was great and ohh so beautiful. Well experienced instructor with great humor and good music during the ride 💯 Everything is taken care off with at the end a nice cold beer which you will appreciate after a intense trip. Great first experienced with canyoning! Well organized, professional and friendly guide, good group size, and not to forget: BEAUTIFUL! Rio Verde didn't steal it's name. By going on this group-activity I saw a piece of nature that I would never have encountered myself.

I would highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to try canyoning. It was challenging but equally fun and exhilarating. I would definitely recommend Local experiences and Excursions as a company. Javier our tour guide and canyoning expert was exceptional. He was very friendly, professional and made sure everyone's safety was paramount every step of the canyoning experience. There was no pressure to do all the jumps of the rocks but Javier encouraged everyone to test their limits in a safe environment. We did this experience as a family of four, ranging from 12 years to 45 years. My 12 year old daughter felt really safe and trusted Javier to the point where she was undertaking all the activities. Amazing experience!!! Felt really looked after and a cold beer and snacks at the end of the experience was very welcome. Thank you 😊
