The library of congress rivaled the great buildings we’ve toured in Europe, which is saying a lot. My son and I also enjoyed getting our free library cards to actually use the library. If you love books and beautiful art work/architecture its a must see!

Duwayne was a wealth of information! Loved the Library of Congress!! We were amazed at the beauty of this, finally, “fire-proof” construction! Duwayne explained the details of the stairway wall sculptures and frescoes and how they relate to music, medicine, and every other facet of life that has been captured in books, photos, and music!

Our tour guide was 10-15 minutes late, but he was very knowledgeable. It was great to go inside the buildings, they were stunning. It was worth having a guide to point out many of the architectural designs that you wouldn't understand on your own. My 10 yr old did say she liked it, but it was information overload.
