Visit: Werribee Open Range Zoo, K Road, Werribee, Victoria 3030 Australia
Get up close to the incredible servals during an African cat experience like no other! During this intimate, behind-the-scenes encounter you'll come face to face with the servals at Werribee Open Range Zoo and find out more about them from their keepers.
These slender and extremely agile cats are one of Africa's most successful hunters. With a height of 54–62cm, the Serval is the tallest of the African sall cats. The serval’s slim build features a long neck and long legs, prominent ears and a medium length tail. They are extremely athletic and adept at pouncing upon rats, mice and other rodents and birds.
Visiting Werrribee Open Range Zoo's servals is an opportunity not only to marvel at these amazing animals, but also to learn about the threats to many African and native species, and how Zoos Victoria is contributing to the fight against wildlife extinction.

Visited the zoo with my grown up children. It was very relaxing and a great family day out until we came across a large group of young adults smoking and dropping their cigarette buts on the ground. I had to call the reception twice as I was feeling sick from the smoke.

A day at the Open Range Zoo has so much for all age groups, our Grandchildren loved listening to the keepers tell of the way the wild cats hunt for their food and catch it.
The lions cubs are always having fun annoying their parents and wanting to play.We have watched several sets of cubs grow, come and see the Hippos ,Giraffes, corroboboree frogs,Kangaroos, Meercats but to name a few. Come join the fun at Werribee Zoo.
Their breeding programme is very successful, always lots to see from the Safari bus which runs regularly all day .
The zoo runs a school holiday programme National Geographic Kids:Weird and Wild.
It doesn’t matter what time of year there is always wonderful things to see and do with the animals.
