Your friendly Art Teacher will greets you at No.31 of Ganyu Hutong, Choose between Sunrise Class, Morning Class, Afternoon Class or Evening Class to suit your schedule. This course is not only help you learn Chinese calligraphy, but also the wisdom of Chinese ancients Yin-yang theory to find your inner peace. There are three steps to learn the Chinese culture & calligraphy : Step 1 : Immersion Standing exercise is the basic way to help you find your inner peace and get rid of impetuous. Step 2. Correct posture for calligraphy practice Your Art Teacher will teach you how to use writing brush, the correct posture for calligraphy and the basis strock of calligraphy. Step 3. Practice Your Art Teacher will teach you Qin Dynasty Calligraphy , from easy to difficult, from simple to complex, you will finish your own calligraphy work on a fancy paper. At last, admire your art work with joy. Get to know Chinese Culture in depth by learning Calligraphy with your Excellent Art Teacher.

The calligraphy class was very interesting. We learned to write the character “福” which means happiness.All in good atmosphere. We had a pleasant time. Until next time again!

Richard was a kind, funny, and genuine man. We are so happy we spent our time with him to learn calligraphy. We started with the 30 min session, but extended to the 1.5 hr because we were having such am enriching experience. He served hot tea, had plenty of practice materials, and organized practice "challenges". Then, he had large red hanging ornaments for us to paint our final product on, which we got to take home as a souvenir! I highly recommend this experience for people who want a relaxing cultural experience right next to Wangfujing, in a hutong!

Richard is very friendly and making the class very enjoyable. Time flies when practicing writing. We will be able to write a word and bring it back home after practice. So don’t worry.

In one hour class you get a very nice introduction to calligraphy. You are introduced to the way to hold the brush and to some practice exercises. Eventually you learn to write the word "Blessing" and you can take home your work. It was a very good experience!

Our teacher Richard took great care of us with our calligraphy lesson. We were late as our bus back from the Great Wall was late, and even though we missed 40 mins, Richard stayed late and started our 1.5hr lesson when we arrived.
Be mindful that the location on Viator is not the exact location. It takes you to the road, but pay attention to the building numbers. It is in the arts centre and shares an entrance with mixed martial arts club. There are restaurants either side. Would have been useful for us to know. We did get a message to help us though and Richard came out to the street to find us. Thank you Richard for a wonderful lesson

A very nice calligraphy class where you can create your own souvenir. My teacher, Richard Li, was a very kind, informative and helpful teacher. I had arranged a two-hour class and I couldn't understand how two hours passed. It was quite enjoyable. It is a good opportunity for people who want to have extraordinary cultural experiences, which they can find on Trip Advisor. A beautiful experience that you will definitely not regret.

it was such a good day and lesson. we got an amazing experience of drawing the Chinese character "dragon". it is a great art and huge work. I recommend Richard Lee's lessons to everyone. thank you very much! we will take with us as a souvenir of China the symbols we personally painted. this is amazing.
