The tasting was great, but you can do it solo for 1/4 of the cost. The rest was too much sitting. Bus and boat did not provide any great views or fjords

A fun time but a very long day. The ride there is gorgeous and there is a bathroom stop at the waterfall (also a small snack/souvenir shop there). Then we make it to the village with the old church which was super cool to see. The boat ride to Balestrand was about 30 minutes. We were the only ones from this group doing the cider tour and that part (once we got to Balestrand) wasn’t guided but it’s a super small town (~800 people) and they gave us the directions in Google maps and the boats number before leaving. Not sure if it’s usually more guided if more people are doing that instead of the glacier tour but it really was fine without one. The cider tour portion was fun and lunch was pretty good too (it was a cheese roll thing, prosciutto and Mayo, beet hummus, a breaded vegetable ball—almost like a hush puppy, and custard with strawberries). Lunch was after the tour portion which was about an hour long. It was a bit of an uphill walk to the ciderhouse itself. Then we did have a bit too much time in the town since there isn’t a whole lot to do but again, we were a very small tour group so I think the tour and lunch portion went faster than it probably does with more people. You could always bring a book or something while waiting for the boat to pick you back up and there’s plenty of park benches around.

Sunny was a wonderful tour guide and we had the best day on our Cidery tour! We started out with great views in Voss, a tour of one of the most iconic stavekirkes in Vik, and then hopped on the boat over to the Cidery. My husband and I (20s) were able to easily stroll to the Cidery once landing in Balestrand and had no troubles locating it. It was so informative and fun, and a great way to try local ciders and foods that were paired with it! Afterwards, we had plenty of time to explore before catching the boat back and stopping by some waterfalls once we were back on the bus! A full, great day and would highly recommend!

I was very disappointed with Glacier Tours. We had to exit the tour 2 hours into the 11 hour tour due to my spouse becoming sick in the bus. The company has refused to respond to my emails and phone calls requesting a refund or at least acknowledge we exited the tour in order to turn into our travel insurance.

The title of this excursion was very misleading. There is no fjord cruise from Bergen. You drive for three hours. We had just come from Orland the day before, so driving back on that road was very disappointing for us. One nice surprise is going up into the hills in the mountains where the train was completely different. And then coming down into of your town. We spent very little time on the water because we did the cidery tour. But no one was there to meet us to take us to the cidery and the directions were never clear. So we wandered around for about 45 minutes until we found it. At the cidery, the owner was friendly and funny with his presentation. However we were really hungry and we didn’t get food until almost 230. The boat left us in this town where there was nothing to do. Until they picked us up again at 4:30. Took a short boat ride back and then drove all the way back. Getting back to town around 8 PM.

This day tour to Balestrand with Cider tasting is a MUST when visiting Norway. Tour is in a Luxury Mercedes in fantastic surroundings and the attractions are coming constantly. The tour include cruise on the famous Sognefjord. The Ciderhuset Winery or Cidery gave us a warm welcome and one of the family members gave a lecture on how Cider is made. The Cider from this area of Norway is the best. Glaciertour.no gave us an extreme good day in Norway. Thank you.

This Cider tour was very nice. It is a full day tour starting at 07:40 from Bergen port by Tourist Information. Back in Bergen at 20:30, so its a long day. All day was full of entertainment. Our guide on the tour was a local and very knowledgeable and did a great job guiding. The bus out from Bergen is a luxury bus with large windows and fantastic view. The tour is very well organized with stop at interval about 1 hour, which for me was perfect. There are a lot of attractions. Especially the Stave Church in Vik was interesting. The structure, decoration, materials and interior show the fantastic craftmanship Norway had 1000 years ago. From Vik we had a cruise on the Sognefjord on board the vessel Fjord Lady towards Balestrand. On arrival Balestrand we first had very good lunch. Fish soup with fresh bread and butter. After lunch was Cider Tasting at the Cider House. We got a lecture from one of the staff about how Cider was made and we got to taste different Ciders. Needless to say, I purchased a few bottles. In Balestrand there is time for private activities. My wife and I went for a cultural walk, seeing the English Church as well as Statue of King Bele. Boat back for return to Bergen picked us up at 16:45. Just a fantastic tour.
