Good tour, but not very organized- tour guide didn’t have a sign; had to ask around to find the tour. Tour started at 10:30 instead of 9:30 due to poor organization and then had to walk 30 minutes to the train station. Cinque Terre was magnificent nonetheless.

This experience was a nightmare! We showed up off our cruise ship and discovered 1 guide and 30 people. The "tour" started with trying to wrangle 30 people 1.2 miles uphill to the train station. Some were older, with canes etc, and this was very difficult. Little did we know this was the "easy part". Once we got to the train station, it was clear that it was going to be impossible to get 30 people onto the train (and of again at 4 different towns) because it was SO CROWDED that sometimes only 1-2 people could get on the train car at a time, nevermind 30. The first train that arrived was too croweded for anyone. Then, we had to tromp to change tracks. Next train came and who knows if we all got on. When my husband and I reached the next stop, the poor guide was trying to find everyone. There was no room for information on what to see, where to eat, what was high up the hill, history or culture. It was just nightmare logistics. Bottom Line: This company was too cheap to break a group of 30 into at least 2 groups. Too cheap to get a shuttle for older people getting off a cruise ship to get to the train. Too unrealistic in tour design to have it actually work. My husband and I left the "tour" - the group of 30 - after the 1st stop because being in such a large group and trying to navigate the trains was harder, not easier. Our 2 tickets for this tour cost us $129... we would have been better off spending the 5 or 10 euro for the Cinque Terra Train ticket and doing it on our own.

Wonderful tour guide…attentive and very personable. A little more historical context would have been nice. But overall a great way to be introduced to Cinque Terre.
