For the past 10 years we’ve travelled the world and have gone on many tours with guides of varying quality. During our trip to Spain in November 2023 our guide Tricia in Valencia was one of the very best.
Not only is Tricia knowledgeable about the century old structures in Valencia, she has also researched the local artists who paint beautiful murals throughout the city.
Another unique aspect of her tours is that Tricia is aware of her clients’ needs. When she sees someone is tired she finds a place to rest while she continues her narrative. If it’s time for nourishment she finds a great gelato spot or a first class bakery.
We recommend the “Tour and Tapas” option from CulturescoutValencia. After your tour you will enjoy a series of delicacies prepared by Chef Amanda on a rooftop patio with panoramic views.

Our family enjoyed an amazing tour with Tricia! I would highly recommend this tour (or any tour with Tricia) to anyone visiting Valencia. We took 2 tours with Tricia (one in August and one in March), and each one was different and captivating, I wished it was longer! For the second tour, Tricia made sure it was different than the first, still wonderful, and it seemed tailored for our family. It was no small task to keep my family of 6 interested - my husband and I loved the historical architecture around the city. Every street and building had a story to tell, and Tricia narrated it beautifully. The blend of historical facts and local lore was perfect. She also kept our 4 teenagers engaged with stops at very Instagram worthy spots to take pictures. It was a win / win all around. Tricia's knowledge of Valencia and little antedotes about the city were so informative and entertaining. Also, her helpful hints for the rest of our vacation were spot on, and yes that cookie spot is the very best! Thanks again for everything Tricia - you are fantastic tour host!

What a great day! Had fun seeing the sights with an expert guide! Beautiful city. The wine and tapas were amazing! Add in a breathtaking atmosphere and view what more could you ask for! I would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxed and informative tour of Valencia!

The tour was a highlight of our visit to Valencia. Because the Arts & Sciences complex is so different from the rest of Valencia, it was especially helpful to have an architect’s perspective. Tricia not only gave us the “what” but also the “how” and “why.”
The post-tour tapas and wine were a special treat. The lineup of flavors and textures exposed us to the best of the area. Hearing the back story as each new course or beverage was introduced gave us a great education in the culture. The top-floor setting provided a panoramic view of Valencia, including the Mediterranean. Amanda’s preparations emphasized the fresh, natural and locally sourced ingredients.
The time spent with Culture Scout Valencia certainly broadened our experience and appreciation of the city as well as Spain itself. And it was fun. Big thumbs up!

Starting with the walking tour through the campus made more significant by the expert view and knowledge of Tricias arquitectural know how and perspective.
We understood much better, not only the historical progression starting with the development of the Turia park but also the amazing creations of a great architect, Santiago Calatrava.
To top it off, we thoroughly enjoyed a unique selection and creations by chef Amanda. Very specially selected to mesh the various Valencian tastes and flavors.
It really was an unforgettable experience. We will recommend it to all our friend.

Tricia is deeply knowledgeable about Valencia architecture, history, and culture. Touring with Tricia will make your visit to Valencia so much richer because you will have a deeper context for this beautiful and fascinating city. After the tour, we had delicious tapas cooked by Amanda in a beautiful rooftop setting. I enjoyed learning more about Spain via the food.
It’s a very memorable experience!

The tour was excellent but this is actually more of a gastronomic experience, with a tasting menu and wine on a lovely terrace overlooking Valencia. Highly recommended
