First of all, we paid nearly 40€ per ticket for a tour with 3 (!!!) stops, which is far to expensive. The price-performance ratio is very bad. Altough the worst for us was the impoliteness of the staff. We booked a ticket in advance on the internet, we waited properly in line to get on the bus and as we wanted to board, the driver told us that we had to go to the ticket selling point to get a printed voucher, but with sich a rudeness, it was horrible! As we had already paid the tickets, we went to the ticket selling point to get that printed voucher, in case the ticket hadn't been paid yet, we would not have taken that bus with this rude person driving it. As we got finally on the bus with our 2 kids, we were sitting each of us on one seat (totally 4, as we were 2 adults and 2 kids), but the bus got filled and filled, then at one point the driver came to us and ordered us to take the kids from their seats, because there were people who need to sit. Sorry what? We were perplex about the rudeness of that person and how he treated our children. If you don't want children on your bus, you need to open an adults only company! We visited on August 29, 2023 and it was on the bus that departed on 13h20. Before we did a lot of city sightseeing with this company and we never had a problem.

Great port and enjoyed seeing the area. Roads are really winding, but the bus driver was excellent. Beautiful town! A must see!

We turned up and the bus was not running. We spent £160 to travel and no communication to say it was not going ahead or about a refund. Bad customer service

Tried to book for the tour in time for the last departure but the surly girl at the desk just glared and said "closed". I pointed out it was still well before the time but she just grunted and turned her back. Other staff nearby were off-hand at best. It appears they are only interested in custom from the cruise ships, which arrive most days, and don't want to be bothered with casual custom. They were an appalling advertisement for the organisation; if I'd been a mystery traveller I'd have sacked the lot of them, starting with the surly girl. A proper sales team, even if for some reason I couldn't have travelled on the day, would have said something on the lines of "very sorry, we're can't take you today (for whatever reason), would you like to book for tomorrow?". The bus departed empty.

Simple process getting off the cruise ship and turning in our voucher for the tickets. Glad we booked through Viator and didn’t have to wait in the long line to buy with all the other passengers. Nice to ride up to the top of the lookout and jump off at the farm. We walked down hill from that point. There’s a great little zip line by the Fjord Center.

The sight from stop 4 was beautiful as we had a lovely weather day. And the stop at the museum gave us the opportunity to learn more about Norway. But this Hop on Hop Off ride had only 4 stops in all and I honestly thought the price we paid for it was way too high.

If you are on a cruise ship and don't want to pay the big prices for shore excursions, there is pretty much nothing else to do in Geiranger., The tour is a ride up the mountain and down on a two decker bus - most likely in the rain. The views are stunning. Also if you are a hiker, this is a good way to get up and walk down. Otherwise, it is an expensive bus ride - less than an hour.

Booked on line before we went. Bus left from the dock where are ship was moored. Not many stops but spectacular views and highly skilled driving turning a double decker bus at the turning point. Worth doing if you don't fancy a coach ride up to the glacier. Just over an hour for the full trip.

Bus goes frequently to 5 sites. Costa Cruises offers also hop on hop off, but with only 3 stops. So take this one, you don’t have to wait like cattle on the ship, but can go as you please.

We purchased our passes online prior to our arrival. The route covers four stops including: the Norwegian Fjord Centre, Westeras Farm, Flydalsjuvet Viewpoint and a return to the cruise terminal. There is free wi-fi on the bus and an audio commentary in 18 different languages. If you hop off at Westeras Farms, nearby is the rather steep trail to the Storseterfossen Waterfall. Knowing what I know now, I would not book the HOHO again. The village itself is walkable, and it is a one-hour walk each way to get to the Viewpoint. If we visit again and had enough time in port, I believe I would do the walk. We paid 630 NOK for two people ($71.66).
