Stavanger, known for its beautiful landscape boasting many fjords and mountains, is a wonderful city to explore. It's also jam-packed with museums, which you will have wonderful access to along the bus route, where you will be able hop-off and discover the history and cultural heritage of Stavanger.

The tour begins at the Strandkaien Cruise Terminal, perfect for those who are arriving in Stavanger via cruise ship. Passengers can hop-on here to start the tour from the beginning, or may join at any of the other allocated tour stops. One of the first notable sights to admire along the route is the beautiful Stavanger Cathedral; a popular landmark in the city for its striking architecture and elegantly decorated interior. Another of Stavangers most attractive sights along the route is the iconic Ledaal Royal Residence. Famous for being the official residence to the King of Norway, you can hop-off the bus tour to enjoy close-up views of this wonderful attraction!

Along this tour, there's many museums for passengers to hop-off and explore. One of the most memorable along the route is the Petroleum Museum, an interesting attraction that includes many exhibitions, which explores why Stavanger is considered Europe's oil capital. This attraction is also one of the cities best-known for its unique architecture, which has even been critically acclaimed for its striking design. Another unique museum along the route is the Stavanger Art Museum. This lakeside attraction has an interesting igloo-shaped exterior and is home to an impressive selection of contemporary, colourful artwork.

If you'd like to learn more about the history of Stavanger, than hop-off at the Stavanger Museum. This is one of the cities oldest museums, built in 1893, and offers many exhibits focusing on Stavangers history and cultural heritage.

As you travel, you can learn all about these landmarks and attractions from the multilingual commentary onboard, accessible in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Russian and Norwegian.

Total waste of money! Leaflet and sales staff say busses every 30 minutes. This is not true! When we complained about the wait we were told they’d try and get another bus to come along soon. When it did we sat on it for 45 minutes. The route lacked commentary on the tour, long gaps with no explanation of where we were! Very expensive for an uninteresting tour. Your best bet is to walk around the old town and enjoy that.

Maybe because it was a Sunday and everything is closed, but it felt a waste of money. All of the places of interest such as museums etc were closed. Basically, nobody hopped on or off. There's no point. Just take a walk around the old town and don't waste your money. It could be a better bet on a week day, so check this out first.

Really poor value for money. Seem to have to wait at least an hour for a bus if you decide to get off. The app to track buses only shows one bus but they claim there are three. The viking farm was closed, and the rest of the stops are not worth seeing. Total waste of money.

The bus route around the city was I feel way over priced for what you get. One of the drop off points, the architecture museum was closed, as was the Stavanger Museum. Taking into account that these were 2 of the drop off points, where many passengers got off, the tour operators should have informed passengers of that. A waste of money unless you are not able bodied, better off walking, which is what we actually did after finding that the museums were closed. Disappointing waste of money, taking advantage of a captive audience so to speak. Would not recommend.

A brilliant way to see Stavanger and to decide where you want to get off and explore. You get a 24 hour ticket which is good for the bus and a boat trip. There are 12 stops and free onboard WiFi. I like the fact that you can download a QR to find out the nearest stops and when the bus is due. Our stops were, Old Stavanger, Cathedral, Cathedral, Petro Museum, Skansekaien, Ovre Holmegata, Petri Church, Archaeology Museum, Stavanger Museum, Mosvatnet Park, Art Museum, Royal Residence.

Most of the places were shut so we could not hop on and off. Very crowded experience, not worth the money we paid, museums was closed and palace Which we should of been told beforehand. So we just stayed on the bus,

This didn't even deserve a one star! We were told we would stop at the best sights in Olden. It cost 900 NOK (£67) for 2 of us. We went upstairs, it wasn't open top, a cover was over us. There was an audio commentary but it was breaking up so we couldn't hear. We droe up through the city and the driver didn't stop at all. We passed what might have been the cathedral, covered in green plastic. We then got driven back to the ship. Under an hour and nothing to see!!!!???? What a rip off. Please do not pay for this bus into town which was 100 times more expensive than we would pay in UK, and we have bus stops here too. I can't ash photos, we didn't stop in order to take any. Everyone was complaining. In comparison, we did a hop on hop off in Olden and we stopped at the rapids on the river and alongside a lake , with enough time to get out and walk around and take photos. We also had a very clear commentary playing out through the coach telling us the history of the area and many interesting facts. That trip was 1 hour long. We would not hesitate to recommend this trip. It cost £58 for 2 of us

We arrived in Stavanger off the Iona and had not pre-booked anything. After walking around for a while we were stopped by one of the people selling tickets for the hop on hop off tour and was told we'd be driven round all the best sight seeing places so we brought tickets at 450 NOK each which is about £33 each. We were supplied with head phones for the audio tour and the got on. The audio was not very clear at all and very hard to hear. All the "all the sightseeing spots were in walking distance of the dock but one" there was nothing to see at all and even if there was we were going to fast to take any photos or to even look. Left Stavanger feeling very disappointed with our visit and very upset we wasted our money.

Because enough people didn’t book or come to tour, it ended up we only got to go around once. No hop on, hop off and 10-4 to get lots done!! Cost us more than $1/minute. Very disappointed!!
