The most incredible experience led by the best guides Rodrigo, Puma and Yanira. They were extremely attentive, kind and so funny. I wish I could take them on every hike with me! Our chef Carmelo cooked the best vegetarian food of my life. All of the porters need a raise for doing such an amazing job. 10/10 all around

Was gr8. We did 5 days 4 night Inca trek. Our guide, Sergio, went out of his way giving us a truly authentic experience. He played to flute, made special videos and took great photographs. He is very well informed on the history of the Incas and tells it in a very soecial way.

We had the most amazing time on our trek of Machu Picchu! As a family we had never done anything like this before so were very apprehensive about such a long overnight trek. The hike was tough but the guides made it a wonderful experience. Isao was full of energy and so knowledgable about the trek it made every day interesting. But we must give an extra shout out to Dina! My dad could NOT have done the trek without her - she was incredibly patient with him, helping him to pace himself up and down dead woman’s pass so he finished every day not far behind the rest of the group. He called her Santa Dina! The porters led by Cornelio were amazing too - everything on the trip was timed to perfection, with our tents and bags set up every night when we arrived. We were so impressed with the food - how Gregorio and his sous chef could be so creative while cooking on a mountain. From the soups, salads, to popcorn and marshmallows - it was all amazing! Overall it was an amazing experience and we’d highly recommend alpaca expeditions to anyone looking to the inca trail.

The experience from start to finish was incredibly well organized and planned out. Our guides Isao and Dina were knowledgeable, meticulous and patient and very caring. The chef Gregorio served food that was surprisingly tasty and healthy given the camp setting. And the porters led by Cornelio were so hard working. When you see what the porters are in charge of doing you will be floored! Highest recommendation for Alpaca Expeditions!!

When we decided to do the Inca trail, my husband and I researched and decided to pick Alpaca, and we were not wrong!! we had the best experience! Everything went so smooth, they organized so well. We amazed how hard work our porters were, how amazingly delicious variety food our chef Gregory could prepare 3 times a day in high Andes mountains and our guides Isao and Dina!!! I cannot say enough about them. They were so attentive and 100% with us, so that no one will be behind. Isao was funny, friendly, has deep knowledge of Inca history and Dina was so sweet and took care of us very well. Our trip couldn’t be successful without Isao and Dina.
Thank you Alapaca for our wonderful experience!!

Exceptional tour! Our tour guide, Isoa was amazing and extremely knowledgeable. He made the experience a lot more enjoyable and smooth. Also big thank you to Dina, chef Gregorio, and all our hard working porters. We wouldn’t have been able to do this hike without all the amazing people who helped out. I would highly recommend this tour company and would love to do another hike with them in the future!

Jhymy and Ronaldinho are the best guides we could have asked for!! They are informative, fun, and made us feel safe and at home along our journey. Jhymy did an excellent job sharing a wealth of knowledge about the Incas, Peruvian history, and the natural history of the area. Though we were a group from different walks of life, Jhymy brought us all together to make a family during our 4 days.
I can’t believe that the Chef Melguiades was able to put together 3 amazing meals every day and even provided alternatives for the various diet restrictions in the group. Each meal was a feast. He even spent hours to make a cake made without an oven!!!
I am still in awe of the porters. The head porter Eugenio leads a strong, organized team that made our journey possible. I would not have been able to complete our trek without them. They are humble, kind, and full of strength that is superhuman. I am so grateful they made it possible for us to experience the beauty and history of their land.
AE does an excellent job organizing the entire trip and providing clear instructions and communication. They truly care about providing work and support for the local community. I cannot recommend them enough to plan your next adventure!
The trek was challenging but so rewarding. I was moved to tears to be able to experience beauty of the nature, the history, and the hard work of the guides, chefs, and porters who made it all happen. Seeing Machu Picchu was incredible, but the journey was truly the destination.
