The main photos of the tour promise you much more than you actually get: you have an impression that you'll be going to the mountains with great views, but you are not. The farm in Itagui is basically in the middle of a town, in a territory of a convent. It's a quick ride from Medellin. Considering that I have some knowledge about coffee, the territory and surroundings were very important to me. That was my main disappointment as this tour was more expensive than others, didn't include neither the lunch, nor a bag of coffee, only a beverage and one tiny pack of plantain chips per person. Besides that the tour was nice: the farm has many other plants besides coffee, Isabella explained about specifics of Colombian coffee growing, we picked some cherries and had a quick preview of a part of the washed process. After that we went to Urbania coffee shop where we observed coffee roasting process and tasted 3 varieties. Pablo and Isabella are super nice and easy to talk to, it was a pleasure to meet them.

Isabel and JD were absolutely amazing. They were so friendly and personable. JD was so knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting and fun. They were able to pick us up from our hotel in El Poblado area. At the end of the tour, they even offered to drop us off somewhere in El Poblado, so they ubered us to Santafé Mall. I definitely recommend listening to them when they say wear long pants if possible. We trekked thru the coffee farm, and there are lots of bushes, branches, trees, etc. Also wear sneakers that you don’t mind getting dirty. Use bug spray too. The walking was very easy and just basically around the coffee farm. The coffee tasting was towards the end where we got to try 3 diff coffees. I would highly recommend!

It was a great experience; full with information about the entire coffee process. Our guide was super friendly and knows the ins and outs about coffee. After this tour I appreciate coffee even more; I don’t want any of the ‘cheap’ coffee anymore. This is really a must do tour if you love coffee or if you want to know more about the process. We got to taste great coffee too at Urbania.

Great Colombian coffee tour near the city of Medellin. Isa (tour guide) spoke great English and knew the history and process of coffee. Pablo was very knowledgeable as well. It was cool to see the coffee process from growing to harvesting to roasting. Highly recommend this tour if you want a Colombian coffee experience close to the city.

Went to Medellin with friends and she booked a coffee tour and I loved the whole experience! Even though I’m not a huge coffee drinker, learning about the whole process and being able to walk through the coffee farms was so interesting. Excited to use this knowledge back home and explore different kinds of coffee!
