This was such an amazing excursion away from the buzz of Medellin into the beautiful mountains. The owners of the farm greeted us warmly and gave us a nice welcome drink. We split into the English and Spanish speaking groups then got dressed in traditional wear. We learned about the coffee making process and got to take part in it ourselves!! Lunch was great, and overall it was such a great part of our time in Colombia.

We decided to book this tour very last minute and we are glad that we did! We were picked up in the morning and driven to the finca where we tour took place. Upon arrival we were greeted with a nice cup of panela lemonade. Cristian Cano was our tour guide during the coffee experience, he was very friendly, engaging, and very knowledgeable about coffee. We were only two English speakers from the entire group there, so we received a more personalized private tour with Cristian. The whole experience was fun! We got to dress in traditional clothes, we got to pick coffee, and they taught us what is a good coffee and what is a bad coffee bean. We learned about the lifecycle of a coffee bean, which was very cool. Cristian kept quizzing us through the entire experience which is good, that allowed us to not forget everything he was teaching us about coffee. We got to drink a lot of coffee, experience different flavors of the coffee, and also got to try multiple methods of brewing coffee. The tour also includes lunch, which was very delicious! Everyone at the finca was very friendly and attentive. I strongly recommend taking this tour, it’s worth every penny! Thank you to the Familia Cano and everyone at the Finca La Arrinconada for such an amazing experience.

This was an awesome experience. You learn a lot and they make you feel like family. You get to pick the coffee that you will later drink. It can get any fresher than that. They include lunch which is cooked right there on the farm just like the old days. Overall an unforgettable experience, not to mention the breathtaking views of the mountains. Also we got picked up by Alejandro David at our hotel, he was great and very helpful.

Would strongly recommend. Christian was a fantastic host and tour guide (he speaks fantastic English)! He welcomed us into his home and taught us everything there was to know about the coffee making process from growing to drinking. His family also cooked us a delicious lunch and the transportation he arranged went without a hitch.

Really a great tour if you want to support an independent family business. Beautiful location with stunning views filled with all kinds of tropical everything and you really get a hands-on experience. Lunch was also delicious and they gave us a very convenient and private ride from our home right to the finca. The highlight was the vast collection of different mechanisms to make coffee along with fund demonstrations about how each one works. Just be aware that you need to have some amount of agility and minimal physical fitness to do the tour. If you have mobility problems or you're past a certain age, it might not be for you.
