Stop At: Colosseum, Piazza del Colosseo, 00184 Rome Italy
We'll begin the tour at the Colosseum, where you'll marvel at its architecture while I provide a thorough explanation of how ancient people were able to build a stone stadium, two millennia ago. We'll avoid the crowds and lines at the general entrance and instead enter through the privileged "Gladiator's gate". Next, you walk the same steps as gladiators on to the arena floor for exploration and photos before heading to the dungeons. The dungeons were the stadium's backstage, wild beast and gladiators were kept there before deadly fights.

Stop At: Roman Forum, Largo della Salara Vecchia 5/6, 00186 Rome Italy

Stop At: Palatine Hill, Piazza Santa Maria Nova, 53, 00186 Rome Italy
You'll walk in the footsteps of Rome's most brilliant and also psychotic Emperors as we discover Cesar's Palace, officially called Palatine Hill. We were initially disappointed to get word that the underground portion was overbooked and thus cancelled and we were asked to choose a lesser tour; however, our tour guide Valeria, was phenomenal! She is an archeologist who spent time on Crete and is from Florence. She is a gem! Incredibly knowledgeable on the history of Rome and the Colisseum. Wonderful tour!

Our guide Andre was so knowledgeable about Roman history he really brought the tour alive with his stories of Ancient Rome. The underground tour was recommended by a friend and it was fascinating to see how the actual events unfolded in ancient times. The movies only portrayed a vague description of how the giant coliseum truly functioned.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms with localized flooding prevented us from going on the tour and no refunds provided due to the weather. Not a honest way to do business and a threat to the public. Never again will I use a company that will not provide a refund due to dangerous weather! Greedy inconsiderate company!

It was breathtaking to be inside the Colosseum and especially the underground where so much history took place. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history that she shared with our group.

Our tour guide Andrea was exceptional. Incredible knowledge about everything we saw. Was great with everyone on the tour. Small group size was very helpful.
However, our tour times were changed three times before our tour. The last time, we received a ticket for 9:00 and showed up at 8:30, only to learn our tour started at 12:45

The booking process and administration beforehand was a little confusing; instructions to download a particular App beforehand turned out to be unnecessary. The process caused some anxiety, but this was dispelled when we met the tour guide who was excellent.
He was knowledgeable, responsive to the group and all manner of questions. He shared a learned and intelligent explanation of the social, political and historical context of the area. Brilliantly and engagingly conveyed his passion for the subject with an often surprising slant on the subject which was deeply appreciated and enjoyed.
We were extremely pleased with his intelligent and wide ranging interpretation of the subject.
