Absolutely lovely day, from start to finish. Guide and driver were both wonderful, and we had plenty of time at each place. We were very lucky and the view into the Poas volcano crater was clear, and although cloudy in the afternoon, it didn't start to rain until 10 minutes after we left the waterfall gardens. (OMG, so many stairs to see the waterfalls!)

The coffee plantation was interesting and charming. The best part was the rainforest and the magnificent waterfalls.

Really well organised, and a fantastic tour guide and bus driver. The locations themselves are a brilliant choice for a day trip from San Jose.

It was a wonderful tour, and Max was an awesome tour guide!! His enthusiasm for the coffee plantation, volcano, and waterfall gardens was contagious. I was worried about transportation, but it was a clean, comfortable van with a lot of windows! Very happy day!!!

We were unable to see the Volcano due to a gas eruption and wind was blowing the wrong way. Doka Coffee Farm was a great experience to see the process of the coffee I love so much. La Paz Waterfall Gardens was beautiful the birds and butterflies are so neat. Great trip! Lots of stairs!!

Great experience. Definitely worth the money given the amount of activities for the cost of the tour. Be sure to bring enough sunscreen and a hat because it is quite sunny out there. They picked us up from our hotel then we went to the coffee plantation where we learned a great deal about the processing of coffee beans. From there we went to the Volcano which was also nice however there is a peculiar smell so we were good with the 20 minutes spent there. Next we had a quick stop at a local shop where we had delicious strawberry and chocolate smoothies. Be sure to get some Geisha coffee while you are here, as it is the top one in Costa Rica. From here we went to La Paz Waterfall which is actually a very nice place. I particularly loved this place with all the serenity it brought from the waterfalls. The breakfast and lunch are both delicious which definitely exceeded my expectations. The tour guide Max was very informative and is very knowledgeable about all the areas where you stop in the tour. He does a great job transitioning to Spanish and English while he talks which was nice. If you come to Costa Roca on a short visit I highly recommend.

As always we over think and are always worried about our safety in any country but this trip was amazing. We always felt safe and our tour guide Jose was amazing. We started this trip at 5am because our hotel Hyatt Place San Jose/Pinares was not in their route but for an extra $60, they picked us up. Then off to the next nine stops but all in an air conditioned vehicle. We finally arrived at our first stop at around 7am. We were the first group to arrive. The breakfast lacked in options but their rice with beans but what I know as Puerto Rican rice was delicious. Then off we go to start our tours. Jose thought our group a lot in the process of how Costa Ricans make coffee. Then off to the volcano. Many of us started to cough because our throat started to itch. The best way to describe it. Is like making homemade hot sauces and the peppers too spicy but it only lasted a little. They have a van, the Cruz roja that will take individuals to the top if they have knee problems or just problems climbing up to the top and then back down. Totally awesome. We are allowed 20 minutes to see the volcano, which is more than enough. Then back on the bus to reach our final destination, La Paz Waterfalls. We start with lunch in which this has various options and the food was decent. Most tables had reserved signs but our tour guide Jose. Always very attentive and got us a table very quickly. Then the nature walk followed by the beautiful waterfall. These last two required a lot of walking, lots of steps and ups/downs. Everyone made it out and at times. We hit tired but our tour guide never rushed us. He was always very attentive and we had access to all the bathroom breaks we needed. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone. Don’t let being alone stop you either. It was very safe and our tour consisted of many young travelers around the world traveling alone. Thank Jose, I truly enjoyed all the information about Costa Rica. Your are an am we some tour guide.
