Duration: 35 minutes

Pass By: Daniels and Fisher Tower, 1601 Arapahoe St, Denver, CO 80202-2015

The Daniels and Fisher Clock Tower, a historic and iconic landmark in Denver, stands as a proud reminder of the city's rich heritage. Originally part of the Daniels & Fisher department store, which was one of the largest retail establishments west of the Mississippi River, the tower was completed in 1910.

This stunning example of Renaissance Revival architecture is most famous for its 16th-story observation deck, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains and the Denver skyline. The tower's intricate details, including its four giant clock faces, each measuring 16 feet in diameter, add to its architectural splendor.

Having survived the demolition of the original department store in the 1970s, the Daniels and Fisher Clock Tower now stands as a solitary monument in the heart of downtown Denver. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists, not only for its historical significance but also for the unique perspective it offers on the city.

At the heart of LoDo, our craft beer tour introduces you to the Oskar Blues Grill & Brew, an iconic Denver establishment that is much more than just a taproom. After undergoing a $2.5 million renovation, this 130-year-old building at Market and 16th Streets has been transformed into a vibrant blend of restaurant, full bar, and music venue.

The design incorporates unique elements that are central to Oskar Blues ethos of beers and bikes: like a drumstick chandelier, a guitar pick-covered bar, a mesmerizing hologram-ish likeness of Hendrix, and tap-handle bike wheels.

Oskar Blues Grill & Brew is more than a stop on our tour; it's a sensory journey that intertwines the flavors of innovative craft beers with the rhythms of Denver's music scene and culinary artistry, making it a must-visit destination in the city's brewery landscape.

This is a great tour for any type of beer drinker. There was something different to try at each stop and the tour guide was really knowledgeable. I went with my parents who are casual beer drinkers - the reason I chose this instead of a RiNo tour for them. If you’re a hardcore craft nerd, you might not like this. If you’re just interested in the craft scene but don’t really care then you’ll enjoy this.

My boyfriend and I had an absolute blast on this tour! It was a great combination of interesting craft beer, Denver history, and an insight into the brewing process. Matt, our tour guide, was absolutely lovely and made it a point to engage everyone in our group which we both really appreciated! Would definitely recommend this tour to everyone from the casual beer drinker to the craft beer snobs. This is a great tour for everyone!

Not normally one for tours like this but wanted to give it a go as a solo traveller and it was really fun. Superb selection of beers, well described by the host Matt and plenty of information on the brewing process and what not. As the beers begin to work their magic so does the group you’re with begin to loosen and the chat flows as well as the ales. An excellent experience that I would fully recommend.

This was a great beer tasting tour. We tasted a lot and learned a ton about the different beers we tried and the beer scene in Denver. Hunter was very knowledgeable and friendly. If you are looking for a behind the scenes tour to see and learn about the beer making process, this is not the tour for you. This is the tour you take if you want to try different types of beer.
