We really enjoyed this tour! You get to learn about the coffee making process and enjoy a few coffee samples along the way. The tour started with tasting the different percentages of dark chocolate (100% dark chocolate was not a fan favorite haha). We then got to try some medium roast coffee. Our guide, David, was amazing and very knowledgeable. He took us on a tour of the property itself where he started by showing us what a fresh cocoa looks like and even let us taste it. It was so good! He took us through the fermenting and drying process which leads us to the coffee beans we see in our grocery stores. The last part of the tour was my favorite. He let us taste melted dark chocolate and let us add things to it as we liked (peanuts, sea salt, vanilla, coconut, etc). We also got to enjoy a dark roast coffee at the end of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour even if you aren't a huge coffee drinker. You will certainly learn a lot!

Heard rave reviews for this coffee and chocolate tour so wanted to get in. We booked very last minute; the original tour time we wanted was sold out, but they were able to fit us a few hours before we went. Rosbi was a very kind tour guide/starter barista who even gave us suggestions for our next destination, Monteverde. You get to sample different types of coffee, chocolate, and have a thorough explanation of the coffee, chocolate and sugarcane processes.

Awesome tour, showing you plants and processing for cacao, sugarcane, and coffee. Our guide Rosbi was stellar, the best guide possible. Many samples of everything, so well organised, nice gift store with coffee, chocolate, t-shirts, and other gifts. Really interesting and educational, can’t say enough great things about it.

Wonderful tour! Our guide, Rosbi, was incredibly knowledgeable about the coffee and chocolate production process - his enthusiasm was infectious. Our three younger children enjoyed the tour and tastings - Rosbi was very engaging for both the kids and adults. I'd recommended this tour for anyone interested in coffee and chocolate tasting, and will recommend to friends and family visiting La Fortuna!
