Itinerary
Once in Norway you cannot leave without trying our national sport.
Now is your opportunity to learn to cross country ski in a scenic environment and relaxed atmosphere.
Our ski guide will teach you how to use the ski bindings to put the ski on and take them off, how to fall 'the right way' to avoid injuries, and how to get up on your own. You will then practice how to walk and run with skis.
After gaining some practice you will get the chance to challenge yourself on some small hills, learning the techniques of walking up and sliding down.
After the tour many of our guests rent skis to continue practicing cross country skiing on their own.

As the weather can change rapidly in Northern Norway to join this tour it is obligatory to wear warm and windproof clothes. Winter clothes are not included in the price of the tour, but can be rented separately at our rental center upon prior arrangement.
From mid-February onward the sun can be surprisingly strong, especially because of the reflecting snow, so we recommend you also bring sunglasses and sun cream with you.

My first time at Skiing. Our tour guide Mariam was excellent. She gave clear instructions and tips on basics of skiing. Overall an enjoyable experience.

I was useless, but if I hadn't tried, I wouldn't have known! The other two people in my group were much more successful! Give it a go, just to say you have tried it!

Our guide, Leah, was fantastic. She had a lot of tips to make the experience more enjoyable. We highly recommend this if you are inexperienced xcountry skiers like us.

This was a really fun afternoon. Our teacher was great and very friendly and helpful. I learned to do a lot in just a couple of hours and was then comfortable doing some nordic skiing around the cross country slopes. I loved it and wish I could do it in the UK!

It was such a fun experience. Never been cross country skiing before - it was very easy and def for beginners. Tomi was great. Wish we could have stayed even longer in tromso so I could have rented gear and gone out for longer at the park he took us to.

Marie was a wonderful teacher: patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. The area where we did the activity was groomed for it, and very easy to get used to. Once we got used skiing in the flat area, we went to a couple of small slopes to practice breaking. We got also a small break in a beautiful area by a lake and enjoyed some hot tea and a Norwegian snack.

It’s a good experience for beginners. The instructor made sure that we were comfortable and confident to participate. As a beginner do keep in mind that you will fall many times and can get hurt too.
