This is a fully guided tour with an officially accredited guide. Meet your guide at Munich Central Station or your centrally located Munich hotel, then take a train to Dachau where a bus will then transport you to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. All transport costs are included in the price of the tour.
Today the camp stands as a memorial site with many of its original features serving as reminders of a time in history that should never be forgotten. Explore the site with your guide, and see the gatehouse with its Arbeit macht frei (Work makes you free) gateway, bunker and the crematorium. You can also visit the administration headquarters and see the rail platform where prisoners once arrived.
If there is something you would like to know more about, simply let your guide know. After exploring the camp, take some time to visit the museum and see an English-language documentary if you like. The guide will return with you by train to Munich.

The total time of the tour is 4 to 5 hour. This includes meeting the customers at their hotel in Munich, taking the train to Dachau, touring the memorial site (approximately 3 hours) and bringing them back to their hotel in Munich.

This was an excellent tour of a very difficult and disturbing memorial sight. Sam was a very good guide and was able to give us a lot of information about the events in Munich/Germany at the time the camp was opened and the historical details about the people who came to the camp, the town, and the Officers involved in camp administration. Sam was very respectful of the site and what occurred here. We learned so much from Sam and this tour. I would highly recommend him guide and this tour!

Very educative experience. good guide. Very helpful in helping us plan other visits too. The only problem was train was delayed by almost an hour and we had to rush thro to not miss next train.

Nick did a great job giving us background on the memorial site. It tugs at your heart thinking what happened here but the memorial is beautiful.

This was a sobering but essential experience and I’m so very glad I went. Jason was my private tour guide and he was terrific. He definitely knows his history and I learned from him. Highly recommend.

The tour for my wife and I was outstanding. I have done several private tours with Viator in Europe, and this was one of the best. All was as planned, enhanced my the guide Nic, eh was remarkable in his both general knowledge, and specific understanding of Dachau. The quality far exceeded the cost!
