Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Floreana, Floreana, Galapagos Islands

Floreana, located in the southern part of the archipelago, is the most remote out of the four inhabited islands with only 150 persons living here. We will not disembark at the inhabited part of the island, but navigate to the ISLET ENDERBY. We will be doing a boat ride to explore this beautifully remote part of the archipelago inhabited by sea lions as well as many different bird species, such as the big frigate birds, nazca boobies, blue-footed boobies, petrels, pelicans and many more.
We will also be doing a snorkel activity here, among sea turtles, schools of tropical fish, sea lions and sometimes also rays and sharks.
Moreover, there will be a fishing activity too for anyone wanting to give it a try - the most common catch in this area is the yellow-fin tuna.

Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Cormorant Point, . Ecuador

This is the uninhabited part of Floreana Island where we will disembark comfortably by dinghy/zodiac.
After disembarkation at Cormorant Point and spending some time at the "Green Beach" (due to its high percentage of olivine crystals in the sand) your naturalist guide will lead you along a little trail up to a view point from where you get a stunning view over a big lagoon inhabited by flamingos and with Floreana's two tuff lava cones in the background - a very unique and beautiful landscape. Then you will continue to another beautifully remote beach, the "Flour Sand Beach", which is made up of corals.
Not only the flora, but also the fauna offers an incredible variety; it is the perfect place to observe pelicans, sea lions, sea turtles, sally lightfoot crabs, great blue herons, yellow-crowned night-herons, lava lizards, finches, and sometimes even sharks chasing some rays.

Duration: 3 hours

Pass By: Devil's Crown, . Ecuador

On the way to Floreana or back, we will also pass by the famous Devil's Crown, a partially submerged volcanic crater whose parts sticking out of the water look like a crown. No stop here.

We were disappointed as it was one of our more expensive excursion but it didn’t feel like it. The office staff were good. However, the snorkeling lasted only an hour and the boat ride was crowded with no place for gear etc. although we did see sea tortoises and penguins, the snorkeling wasn’t particularly good re the fish. The snorkeling portion felt really crowded. I think there were about 16 others on the boat. We didn’t see the wetlands advertised. Our “wetlands tour” was a 100 m, 5 minute walk right beside the boat station which we could have seen on our own. We saw two flamingos. I was expecting a more extensive walk given that the wetlands are something Isabella is known for. We did see the coconut beach but it was during lunch. The lunch was good though. Our guide wasn’t particularly engaged with us. The tortoise breeding centre isn’t as nice as some of the others we’ve seen. I would probably skip it going to the turtle breeding centre. The one on San Cristobal is much better. It felt like the tour was outsourced to a number of different operators and wasn’t the experience we were hoping for.

Omar and Patty at GG provided excellent personalized service. They completely went above and beyond. This was the best trip and the best value of our stay in the Galápagos Islands. The guide for snorkeling was legendary, the boat crew made sure we were fed and hydrated and happy. This trip was just amazing. We saw things we could have never otherwise scene. Memories for a lifetime!

I can't swim. But if you wear a life jacket and a snorkeling mask, it's no problem at all. Yazmany helped everyone enjoy snorkeling. I was able to see many sea turtles in Floreana. There were so many. It was the best moment in Galapagos. I will never forget!!

The guys at Galapagos Guiding are great. Always punctual and I really liked the evening before briefings that made the early starts so much easier. We took three tours and they all were phenomenal. Snorkeling gear provided was good and they helped us to get properly fitted. We had an amazing time!

It was a relaxing boat ride to/from Floreana with a small group of 7. We saw many birds around the island (especially frigates and flamingos) and the snorkeling was excellent. We also enjoyed the lunch. Recommended!

Outstanding guide Edgar made sure our snorkeling experiences were safe and very professionally videoed, making these videos available to us for a small fee. Floreana is a beautiful island. Food was outstanding - glorious Ecuadorian ceviche!

This was the most expensive tour we did in the Galapagos but it was worth it. Nice boat, small group, great hot lunch, and the sites we visited were amazing. Saw such a diverse ecosystem of animals. Even got to reel in a blue fin tuna. Highly recommend

We visited Floreana as the last tour during our Galapagos trip and on my birthday. Guiding Galapagos arranged our tour. Stephanie, Yazmany, and their staff exceeded our expectations all week creating an itinerary where we saw so much, including creating a memorable birthday. The day started out uncertain because I did experience motion sickness on the almost 2 hour boat ride to Floreana. I did great all week wearing a scopolamine patch so I think the cause was that I was sitting sideways inside the boat rather than outside facing forward. On arrival, I was better and able to enjoy the rest of the day. I didn’t experience any seasickness on the return boat ride. So, if you have any hesitations about motion sickness, I’d recommend still considering this tour because I did well for being extremely sensitive to motion. On this tour, we saw most of the animals that we saw during the week but what made this tour extra special was that we saw penguins and dolphins! This was also the first time during the week we saw marine iguanas in the water swimming. The penguins are usually seen in Isabela but we had a surprise encounter in Floreana. We experienced dolphins following our boat when we visited Kauai, Hawaii but this Floreana experience was not even comparable. There was at least fifty dolphins in a pack on every side of the boat following our boat for miles. On the return ride, fishing lines were thrown out where a 45 pound tuna was caught- the experience exceeded our expectations and isn’t even comparable to fishing tours we’ve been on. The guide was engaged the whole day in every activity, knowledgeable, and you could tell dedicated to showing visitors his homeland. The staff on the boat ensured everyone was okay all day long, served a great lunch and drinks, and assisted everyone getting in and out of the water/on and off the boat. There’s a toilet on the boat so no worries about the length of the tour! You really won’t see Galápagos and all the animals if you aren’t out on the water and in the water. We planned ahead and saved up to do as many tours as we could in the week and it was so worth it. Those we met on tours we’re today connected to on Facebook and shared pictures. It’s a great experience to be in a small tour group while at the same time get to know others from all over the world. If you have any hesitations about this tour or any boat day tour, I recommend booking (and pack a Go Pro camera!). Thank you Guiding Galapagos for creating a memorable birthday!
