First of all our flight confirmation no was messed up. Polynesian Adventure told us we should check in round trip. But these confirmation number did not work. Mind you they gave us two different confirmation numbers and none gave us our return boarding passes and none worked. We had to look for help. After arriving in Maui the Polynesian representative called us and scolded us for not calling them when we arrived. She was very rude. She treated me like a kid. There were no instructions whatsoever to call them. The tour itself was terrible. Many of the supposed stop we were going to go were abandoned. For example, on the trip to Mokawao town where we were supposed to spend an hour there but instead we just passed thru it. The amount we paid to this tour at $529 person feels like a rip off. The only saving grace was our driver.

Kanela was a great guide and very knowledgeable. Obviously loves his island and showed us the best of it. Nothing was an effort to engage and create a great experience of Maui. Provided options for continuing experiencing more of Maui.
Great tour and value. Thoroughly recommend.

Awful! That’s all I can say. We booked on Saturday night. They immediately took the money out of our bank account. I get a call the next morning there a no flights available to Maui on the Wednesday we chose and the tour is only offered on Wednesday. We could change it to the following Wednesday but our vacation would be over by then. Tried to get a refund but there are no refunds. So we are out nearly $1,000. That is insane! I could understand no refund if we were the ones to cancel but the company cancelled not us. Also, don’t take the money out until the trip is confirmed! What a joke! DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR!

Took the bus up Haleakala with our driver Mitch! He was so nice and fun, I trusted him driving me up there! He shared many informations with us, made jokes and was very safe at driving!
The experience was great, I just wish we could stay at Haleakala a bit longer or that we could reach the summit (bus stops at 9000 ft and summit is at 10000). You would have time to hike up the summit when the bus drop you off though!
Thanks again to Mitch for this great moment!
Also, don’t do like me : bring cash to tips your driver! I completly forgot to bring some and I felt bad not tipping our driver!
