DG Tours - Full-Day Private Tour Experience

We had a wunderfull day on Dominica with Markus! After booking I had contact with Devon and I writed about our plans. He confirmed to us that the tour was possible according to our wishes. The morning when our cruise ship was in harbour, he caled me with telephone and told us, where the driver Markus stands, so that it was easy to find him. The car was a nice SUV, so we had much place. First we made a short stop at Viewpoint Morne Bruce and Botonical Garden. Then we were 45 minutes at the Trafalgar Falls. Next stop was the Emerald Pool and there we was ca 1 hour and take a bath in this nice Waterfall. The importants think for us was the boat tour on Indian River. We was surprised that Markus himself drove our boat. (of cause additional price) This was realy perfect, because we had a boat for ourselves and not full of tourists. Markus was a very friendly guide, and told us much about the island, the plants. The day with Markus was our best day on the hole cruise tour!

Devon was the best. He showed us the soul of this beautiful island, and made sure we were well taken care of and could see& do what we wanted.

Special thanks to DG Tours for making our stay welcoming, home away from home. An assets to Dominica indeed, willing to share everything about his country’s history and breathtaking sites, very knowledgeable and down to earth. We will definitely be going the DG Tours way our next visit. Thank you so much Devon. I will definitely recommend DG tours to anyone who surely wants to have a great experience.

had a private tour with marcus me and my wife he told us all the history of the towns we passed on our way to trafalgar ,fresh water lake hot springs very knowledageable and pleasant outstanding service excellent communication puntual highly recommended

We visited Dominica on the Ritz Carlton cruise in February and chose DG Tours as our Guide for the Day. Marcus picked us up promptly at the meeting time, and was a great guide around Dominica. He was super friendly and knowledgeable. We went to the Freshwater Lake, which was interesting but I might pass on it in favor of something else in retrospect. Then we went to Titou Gorge, which was cool. Basically you swim through a gorge to a waterfall located toward the rear. After that we went to Trafalgar Falls, which consisted of two waterfalls after a really short walk. Then we hit up lunch, which was tasty but a bit overpriced for what it was. Overall we had a great time with an awesome guide, and would definitely recommend DG Tours to anyone who wants to tour the island. They had MANY different tour itineraries, and you can kind of pick and choose what you want to see.

Devon is a great guy. Very considerate. He took us on a great tour of Emerald pool, some falls, Red Rocks and a stop in Calabishie. He is very flexible and can craft an itinerary based on your interests. Every time we come to Dominica, we give DG Tours a call.

My husband and I toured Dominica with Devon after stopping there from our cruise ship. After making the booking he immediately responded about our plans and how to make the day exactly what we wanted. As a base plan, we chose his Option #4 which listed Titou Gorge, the Trafalgar Falls, Ti Kwen Glo Cho hot springs, and Champagne (Bubble Beach) Reef snorkeling. Also spent some time in town. Having never been to the island, this gave us a beautiful tour of the scenic rain forest, a taste of the snorkeling and a drive-through of parts of the island. The Titou Gorge experience was a lot of fun and not something I expected. Devon took us there first before any tour groups were there to "clog it up"! We drove to the Trafalgar Falls and hiked along a little path to the viewpoint. At a lunch stop at the River Rock Cafe along the road below the falls with a lovely view, we had local cuisine and a (very strong) local rum-based punch. The hot springs were relaxing and enjoyable and there were very few people. (Don't wear a white bathing suit!) The highlight of the trip was the snorkeling at the Champagne Reef. Expect a very rocky beach and I do mean ROCKS not just stones. Lots of amazing fish, very beautiful, not too difficult snorkeling except for the entry on and off the beach, nice bubbles! In short this was a fantastic day and Devon was very helpful. We spend a brief time in town,driving past the big banyan tree and Botanical gardens, going to the site of the slave market and museum at the end of the day. Had we wanted to add a stop or do something special, I am sure that Devon would have accommodated us. He was a great guide, helpful and nice, answered all of our questions, nothing too heavy. This is a better way to see the island than a ship excursion and your sight-seeing will not be as crowded. Well worth the price. Hope to see you again someday Devon!
