Discover Egypt provided an excellent service. I was travelling alone. Rep was waiting for me on arrival, escorted to the Tulip. The week was really well organised, boat was clean and comfortable. food very good and staff polite, friendly and quietly efficient Both Egyptologist tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their subject. couldn't fault the holiday. I met a lovely friendly bunch of people. Thank you Discover Egypt. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Everything about this Nile Cruise was spot on with MS Tulip and Discover Egypt. From Luxor, Karnak, Philae to Aswan and all in between, This was a memorable sightseeing holiday taking in the extraordinary ancient temples, tombs, Valley of the Kings and villages along the Nile. The two Egyptologist tour guides Ahmad Mozamel and Mohammed were superb - passionate and so knowledgeable. This exceeded all our expectations, Food, rooms, cruise boat, schedule, service were all spot on. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Definitely one to do again, it was so fantastic. Many thanks to all the kind folks of Egypt that gave us the time of our lives. We will be back

The tour started with a 45 minutes delay picking us from the hotel which ended with shorten day tour of Giza pyramids and Cairo museum. Less than 3.5 hours spent visiting both places. Travelled all the way from Melbourne Australia to visit Egypt. First part of the tour was disappointed. Tour guides performance was average. Overall Truly Egypt tours organisation performance from beginning to the end was poor. Part of the blame has to go to Tourradar for subcontracting to local tour company Truly Egypt tours. More interested in profit than quality!!! As we opted to upgrade to flights and hotels with extra payments, tour company decided to accommodate us on a two star hotel with uncleaned bed sheets and half empty water bottle in Luxor. Second part of the tour was good because of the friendly knowledgeable tour guide. She helped me as I was struggling with food poison after having lunch in a restaurant in Cairo assigned by the tour operator. End of the tour, the tour company booked our flight middle of night in-spite of us upgrading the tour months ahead. Very inconvenient for us as we had to stay in the ship for 7 hours counting stars. Disappointed. Our advice do your research because there are other companies doing similar tours.

We had a really amazing time on our cruise, and also in Cairo it was amazing every single day The cruise was very clean, delicious food helpful and mazing staff on board communication prior to our arrival in Egypt: mac was extremely responsive and helpful! Answered every emailed question quickly. I read a lot of reviews written by people who liked their tours I recommend tourradar and Truly Egypt Tours to spend lovely time and enjoy every single moments of your trip.

PROS: Great value!! Hard to beat this price. Beautiful cruise! You see all the same sites as the $$$ tours. CONS: You get what you paid for. They nickel and dimed us the entire time. They prioritized shopping (where they get kickbacks) over touring the sites. They had us shop for hours and only gave us 30 minutes at the famous Pyramids of Giza!! They made us pay for the tickets but then didn’t give us time to tour the tombs of the pyramids. The camel ride was only 15 minutes, after they promised an hour. We were VERY disappointed with the Cairo team for doing that on our first day. Additional services came with additional fees and high costs that kept changing. Water was not included and you have to pay for all entrance fees, so factor that in. While the $$$ tours included guides throughout the sites, our guides only stayed with us for 10 minutes then set us loose to wander - less informative than other $$$ tours. Overall: Best price and still enjoyable but watch out for those shopping trips and hold them to their word. Make sure you get to the pyramids before they close at 4pm.

Egypt is a beautiful but rough place sometimes. When I went, I felt like I needed a guide with me most of the time. On my own, it would have been difficult to get past military checkpoints and through the rough places and the poor places and so forth. I put my trust in truly Egypt tours and was not disappointed. They took care of all the logistics of getting into tourist destinations and the accommodations and meals and everything. My son and I never had to wonder if we were safe or what the next step was or anything. Our tour guides were excellent. They knew all the right people at the sites and could tell us all the information we want to know. They were personable and human and we became friends. Gabe in Cairo was a PhD in Egyptology former acheologist at Giza. Sabah in Luxor was so happy to show us around and talk about her extensive knowledge. Diaa in Aswan, in addition to be our guide, was an ornithologist, identifying and describing each bird that flew by on the Nile. It was a wonderful trip, and I was happy with the accommodations, the planning, the flexibility, everything. I would definitely use Truly Egypt again!

Egypt is a country full of history, culture and traditions and its astonishing monuments well deserve to be considered "wonders" of the ancient world. Even if I booked this tour at the very last minute, everything was well organized and smooth. I was accompanied by a guide in every interest place I visited (even if the enter tickets to the sites have to be paid as extra once you reach Egypt), while I was alone during the organized transfers (trains and cruise), and this allows the tour operator to guarantee the best value for money. The pace of the visits was adequate, giving me enough time to enjoy the places and to relax or to take optional tours. Just the timings of the cruise could be a little bit better (for example, we sailed from Aswan at 2 pm, arriving at Kom Ombo temple at 5 pm, when it was already dark; sailing just one hour earlier would have provided the opportunity to visit the temple with the sunlight), but I think it's not the tour operator that can define and change them. As a woman and a solo traveller, I felt safe all the time and well accepted in every place I visited. All the guides were punctual, well prepared and professional. Mac, the main organizer, checked on me every day by calls or wts to inform me about the tour plan, the eventual changes and, in case I needed anything, he was always available. Even the driver in Cairo, Mohammed, treated me very well, as I was part of his family. I spent the first day in Cairo, visiting the Egyptian museum and the Pyramids and the Sphinx of Giza. The guide, Gaber, was extremely competent and patient with my questions, the best guide I had on the tour. He provided me a good introduction frame about the history of ancient Egypt, thanks to which I could understand better all the following visits. For the trip from Cairo to Aswan (13 hours) and from Luxor to Cairo (almost 10 hours), I chose the sleeper train option, which I highly recommend to be more comfortable during the long train trip. In Aswan, I boarded the Champollion cruise, on which I spent 4 days (2 in Aswan and 2 sailing north towards Luxor), meeting a lot of other tourists from Egypt and from other countries. The cruise was modern and clean, the staff very friendly and all the meals were offered by buffet with a lot of different and tasty options. The only complaint about the cruise is about the wifi connection: to have internet on board you have to pay 20 usd for 4GB, but you are not informed that the connection doesn't reach the rooms nor the upper deck and it doesn't work during the cruise, but just when the boat is docked. It's much better and cheaper to buy a local SIM card! The guide in Aswan well explained the functioning of the High Dam and the history of the Philae Temple and Abu Simble temples (Abu Simbel was an optional tour, highly recommended!), while the guide in Kom Ombo and Edfu temples was definitely too fast in describing those suggestive places, leaving me not completely satisfied about the explanation. Once I reached Luxor, I finally met Mac, who took me to visit Luxor city and both the amazing West Bank (Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatchepsut, Colossus of Mnenon and even an alabaster factory) and the East Bank (the huge Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple), explaining them in a very effective manner and even creating some jokes in order for me to remember as much as possible. I recommend this trip to all the people who want to explore Egypt in a well organized way and at the same time to be enough indipendent and free to have some little adventures by their own!

They took our money for nine people without any apology despite Egypt govt. shutdown orders for Nile cruise gatherings. Do not use Truly Egypt Tours or Tour Radar.
