Discover Scuba Diving is your chance to get wet and experience what scuba diving is all about. This is the experience program for someone who would like to try SCUBA Diving with us without committing to a full certification course. The try scuba program with our Dive Center takes only few hours, starts with an explanation of basic diving theory and explains about equipment, equalizing and breathing techniques, then go into shallow water for acclimatization and some skills practice. Then take you on a shallow water dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters.
For DSD program, you are closely supervised by a professional instructor or dive master.

Absolutely amazing experience. Our instructor Ben was knowledgeable and patient, ensuring my partner felt comfortable and safe. Would highly recommend, especially if you have never dived before!

Great experience for beginners! It was my first time diving and my mom's (70 y) second.
Thinh was a great instructor. He reminded us of how to use the equipment often and used easy hand signals underwater. He was great at multitasking between guiding us and taking amazing photos of our experience.
No issues and loved every minute of it. A little scary going in the first time like anything new but once you're down and see the reefs, it'd all good. We saw so many plants and a ton of fish quite well.
Would love to go again, at least 3 other guests, certified divers, planned to come back the next day. We would have if we had more time on the island.

We had a fabulous day with Vietnam Active. The first time diving for two of us and I needed a refresher. Loc was a brilliant dive leader - accommodating our different levels, enabling us to all dive together for the second dive, pointing out things to see, coaching us and taking some great photos and videos.
We saw many different fish and coral, a crab and what looked like razor fish
- as we aren’t qualified we couldn’t dive more than 18m - but it was great for a first dive. We then had the opportunity to snorkel to explore the area further - the An Thoi islands are beautiful.
The pre-trip communication was great, and VA were very flexible when we needed to change our plans. The lunch on the boat was also delicious!
A huge thank you, and highly recommended.

I did a padi open water dive course here with Huy in march - it was great, really informative and well explained, I felt safe throughout - also, tonnes of fun. Huy did a great job teaching us all we needed to know while finding lots of extra things to make the trip special, helping us find amazing things to look at while we were learning. The boat setup was perfect, lots of good food and a nice sized group, but there were only 2 of us to an instructor so it felt very personal. Would definitely recommend diving here!

It was an amazing tour, the corals are beautiful and the guide provided to us all the instructions to be enable to scuba diving properly. I loved the tour.

Great dive trip, Vietnam Active did an awesome job giving us training for the open water certification!! Both days we got picked up and dropped off at our hotel, boat crew was really friendly, and cooked us a delicious lunch at sea. We had Quoc as our dive instructor, he’s a wealth of knowledge so be ready to soak up a ton of great info. We were newbies, anxious in unfamiliar territory, and very inexperienced, but he’s calm demeanor, confidence, mild humor put our nerves at ease and made the process very smooth. Wish I was still in Vietnam, would totally do the advanced open water with him!

We had an amazing time!! My friend and I decided last minute that we would go for a scuba diving trip - we had zero experience with diving and are not even good at swimming (not even enjoying swimming at all!). We took the “Beginners - 2 Dives” option and we were nervous but our professional instructors (Nikolai and Andy) were just the best!! They communicated well all the instructions and were very attentive and helpful throughout, making sure we feel safe and overcome our fears to enjoy the dives. Scuba diving really shows us a totally different world in Phu Quoc!! Equipment is new and clean. The whole team was actually awesome - everyone was friendly and nice. Super highly recommended!!!
