Discover winter Norway – 2 days in Jotunheimen (from Oslo)

Itinerary

Day 1: Bus from Oslo, snowcoach tour into Jotunheimen, snowshoeing and overnight in traditional norwegian cabin.

Stop At: Tyin, Norway
At arrival in Jotunheimen, our local guide will welcome you and your snowcoach tour to the remote village of Eidsbugarden starts.
The ride to Eidsbugarden will take about 45 min and is an experience in itself - sitting in these historical vehicles and being driven into a winter wonderland far away from civilization.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Eidsbugarden, Vang Municipality, Norway
At arrival in Eidsbugarden we will serve you traditional norwegian waffles, before you head out for a snowshoe hike.
Our guides will give you a pair of snowshoes and poles. Snowshoes are easy and fun to handle and everybody can use them after a short introduction.
We will give you as well a map/description about possible snowshoe hikes in the closer surrounding of the village of Eidsbugarden.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Oslo, Oslo, Eastern Norway
Meeting at Oslo bus terminal, plattform A14, at 8.15am.
The bus leaves at 8.30 to Jotunheimen.
Bus: NW160 Valdresekspressen
Duration: 4 hours

Meals included:
• Lunch: You will be served waffles at Fondsbu DNT before you head out to explore the region on snowshoes.
• Dinner: 3 course dinner served in the evening.
Accommodation included: The cozy accommodation Fondsbu will be your base for tonight. Relax at the bar, in the library or in the fireplace room.

Day 2: Snowshoeing and snowcoach tour

Stop At: Eidsbugarden, Vang Municipality, Norway
After a good night sleep and rich breakfast, you can go on your second snowshoe hike or just enjoy the silence and peacefull winter atmosphere at Eidsbugarden.

We will provide you with an tour description and map.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Eidsbugarden, Vang Municipality, Norway
At 11.45 our snowchoaches will drive you back to Tyin. Arrival time 12:30.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Oslo, Oslo, Eastern Norway
After two days Jotunheimen, we will bring you safe and comfortable back to Oslo. Arrival at the Oslo bus terminal 18.35.
Duration: 4 hours
