Dive into a unique summer adventure with our Siberian Huskies on a Dog Cart Tour! Join us at Vallholt, nestled between Akureyri and Lake Mývatn in North Iceland, for an unforgettable dry land dog cart tour through our stunning landscapes.
Experience the thrill of riding with our team of 8-12 Siberian Husky dogs, guided by an experienced Musher from Snow Dogs Iceland. Let the huskies lead the way on a 3-4 km trail in our remote Icelandic nature, embracing a bit of bumpy fun along the way.
Learn the secrets of dog sledding and how to work with these incredible dogs in summer conditions from your knowledgeable Musher. The approximately 3-4 km trail takes 20-30 minutes, followed by an exclusive kennel visit where you can meet, greet, and cuddle our amazing dogs! Total visit time is approximately 1.5 hours.
Capture memorable moments and take snapshots of our adorable huskies, seizing this unique chance to witness our sled dogs' summer training process firsthand.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that this was one of the best days of my life. The sledding portion of the tour was amazing. When the sledding ended, we were gifted with a generous amount of quality time with the SUPER-affectionate dogs.
The guides and hosts genuinely love the dogs and made it an incredible experience.

Thank you so much guys ❤️ we booked a dog sledding trip for my mom, she is very sick and this vacation and dog trip was her last wish 🙏🏼
My daughter wanted to come last minute and this was no problem (even got a discount, so sweet)
But we loved the dogs so much☺️ the people are very kind and showed us everything and we cuddles with the puppy’s 🥰
My mom was so happy! I will never forget this, so Thank you so much for this.

WOW! If you're in the area you have to do this. If you're not in the area, then you have to make a detour to do this!! The staff are so professional, kind, helpful and have a passion for their dogs and their business. We were pushed for time and they went out of their way to assist us with making a booking. We were lucky enough to meet the owners and their wonderful team who spent many hours telling us about their huskies, the history of dog sledding and of the local area. We spent time at the immaculate kennels before the experience meeting the dogs, assisting getting them ready and then the most amazing hour spent racing across a frozen lake being pulled by very happy huskies! After we went back to the kennels for husky cuddles and kisses, a tour of the facilities and just the most wonderful chats with the team. The dogs clearly love what they do and are cared for beautifully. I can wholeheartedly say this is one of the most incredible experiences I have had and will be forever grateful to the Snow Dog team for today. THANK YOU ❤️

Ein tolles Erlebnis. Die Huskys (mit ausreichend Zeit zum Kontakt und kuscheln), die Besitzer/ Begleiter (sehr freundlich und mit vielen interessanten Informationen zur Umgebung und den Tieren), die Tour ( tolle Landschaft und viele Möglicheiten zum Fotografieren) alles toll.
Zum Schutz der eigenen Kleidung und gegen die Kälte gab es Overalls in allen Größen.
Besonderer Service: Bei der Rückfahrt haben wir uns 500 Meter von der Farm entfernt im Schnee festgefahren und der Farmer kam mit seinem Truck und hat uns freundlicherweise wieder auf die Strasse gezogen.

Der Kontakt mit den Huskys (ausgiebig Zeit zum Kuscheln), die Besitzer/ Begleiter (sehr freundlich und mit vielen interessanten Infos zu den Hunden), schöne Tour mit vielen Möglichkeiten zum Fotografieren. Zum Schutz der eigenen Kleidung und gegen die Kälte waren Overalls in allen Größen vorhanden.
