After meeting with your tour guide, leave from Porto, and travel to the beautiful Douro Valley in a comfortable climatized vehicle.
Stop At: 5100 Lamego, Portugal
After the first stretch of the journey and having arrived to the Douro Valley, we will be visiting a small family owned vineyard, with a wine tasting of their own production.
Here we will have a commented wine tasting we will also enjoy some wonderfull views of the terraced hills that make the Douro Valley so unique.

Pass By: Douro River, Porto Portugal
After the first winery, enjoy a scenic drive through the world famous National Road 222, to the heart of the Douro Valley, the beautifull village of Pinhão.
Stop At: Pinhao, Pinhao, Vila Real District, Northern Portugal
In Pinhão we will embark on the unique experience of doing a short 1 hour river cruise, to soak in the beautiful landscape while admiring the terraced hills with the quintessential vineyards and estates that turn the margins of the Douro River into a true "Geologic Poem"

After the scenic cruise it´s time to drive up the hills, through the windy Douro roads and get on our way to Sabrosa, for lunch.
It´s time to discover more of what the Douro Valley has to offer and to enjoy the breathtaking views from up the mountains.
Stop At: Sabrosa, Sabrosa, Vila Real District, Northern Portugal
In Sabrosa we will stop at another family owned winery, where we will have a traditional portuguese lunch complete with 4 courses, entrance, salad, main dish and dessert, all paired with their delicious Douro red and white wine.
For the grande finale we will visit their cellar where we will try some of their fantastic ports.
After a full day of exploration and discovery, relax and enjoy your journey back to Porto.

Pick ups will be between 8:30 - 9:00 am. We will contact customers by message (trough the App) with final details.
Be aware that we need confirmation of every customer regarding the meeting point and pick up hour, when we send the message through the App. If you will not answer through the App, we will try to reach you by phone.
Please make sure your number is correct. We normally try WhatsApp first and then we call if we don't have an answer.

The day before the tour, you will receive the exact pickup details regarding pickup, meeting point and time;
Parents should bring the baby car seat ajusted to infant's age (1 to 3 years old). We only have seats available after 4 years old.
This tour may be done in two languages. We try to avoid it, but sometimes we have no other solution.
This tour has two different options, with or without hotel pick up. If you choose the option with the meeting point this tour may or may not be done in a minibus or bus. If you choose the Small Group with hotel pick up option, this tour will be done on a minivan and a group of up to 8 people;
For the ones that choose hotel pick-up, if your accomodation is not in a very easy to reach location, we might ask you to meet us at a close by location;
Private option it's done in a private vehicle only with your private guide. The vineyards and rest of the locations are shared with other participants.
For lunch we provide meet, fish, vegan and vegetarian option.
We do tours all year round, in the winter it is cold and in the summer it's hot, please dress appropriately
There is not much walking involved, but please bring comfortable shoes;
Don´t forget to bring your camera with you!
This tour last around 9 hours, but it´s subject to local traffic conditions or visit schedules;
Reschedulings with less than 24 hours before the start of the tour will be charged a 30% fee (subject to availability);
The order of the tour or partners visit are subject to change depending on availability;
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 36 travelers

It was a great tour, combined scenery, nice boat trip on the Douro, two winery visits with tastings, and lunch. All of these elements were very good, and an excellent combination... made a one-day visit to the region seem like a thorough introduction. Very informative and enjoyable. Nice guide, good bus driver.

3 Canadians went on this tour and rated it at 3 out of 5. Why? The bus driver rated five out of five and we felt safe on the windy roads in the Duouro Valley. But there was 4 hours on the bus, little historic commentary, and our tour leader was charismatic but a bit weak on the facts. The boat tour would have been better if it had a running Commentary of historical content. Our guide did not.join is on the boat tour. The tastings were great, especially at the 300 year old estate from 1738. Very excellent informative from their representative. Lunch was adequate with mediocre wine, but was not sensational.

Rita was our tour guide and we had a fantastic time. The scenery was amazing and our three stops were perfect.
Definitely take a day to do this tour. Our last stop included a fantastic history and visit to a port winery. Be prepared for a full day however and eat breakfast before you get to the bus. We met some wonderful people from around the globe and Rita was enthusiastic, entertaining, funny, and ensured we were enjoying ourselves.

I went to Portugal for a girls bike trip. After the 5 days of biking, we wanted to visit the Duoro Valley so we chose this tour. We had a comfortable ride on a large bus (even though we had a small group). We had a tour at a small port winery then we had an awesome lunch at another winery. The weather was perfect for the picturesque location. Then our final winery was a walking tour through the vineyards followed by more wine tasting. The river tour was shorter than expected but it was still a nice tour. This tour was a great value for the experience. Highly recommend!!

Our guide Rita and excellent driver were superb. The scenic route we took along with the boat trip was delightful.
The first tasting was excellent. Comfortable setting, well arranged and very well presented. The speakers were very informative and friendly. Lunch was enjoyable, 2nd tasting was a port tasting, it was informative.
Enjoyable day out.

Our guide Rita was amazing, scenery was wonderful and wine tasting informative and generous. The meal at lunch time was good but the waiter was possibly drunk and was more interested in juggling with the wine bottles rather than pouring the wine

Wine tours and the cruise down the river was a perfect combo. The group was larger than I expected. The Douro Valley was so beautiful. Very hilly. So watch out if you get car sick. We had a great time!

This was a wonderful experience. Sara , our guide, was knowledgeable, friendly and funny. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, tasting the wines, the ride on the river and the delicious lunch. We would highly recommend this tour.
