The guide was very friendly and we had a great chat also on the way to the wall. We had dietary restrictions (a person in the group was celiac), the guide helped us with the food and even bought gluten-free soy sauce for her. We absolutely recommend.

Angie texted us the night before asking if we could leave at 0620 due to the Public and Holiday and not wanting to get caught in traffic going to the Wall or coming back. She met us promptly in the hotel lobby the day of the tour. She spoke very good English and told us about sights along the way. The driver, Mr. Lee was quiet but he offered us some of his dumplings since hotel breakfast wasn’t available at the time. The black sedan was clean and comfortable. He also made sure we had water once we arrived at the wall. Once we arrived, Angie purchased our tickets for the chair lift and the toboggan. The chair lift was sort of scary but not bad. She took pictures for us, told us the best locations to take the pictures and which setting to use on our phone. She let us roam about by ourselves for 2 hours. During that time we were able to hike to tower 16. There were minimal people on the Wall at that time. But by the time we reached Tower 14, it was a bit crowded. So we were thankful that Angie suggested the early start time. We rode the toboggan down the Wall which as very fun. I just wish we could’ve went faster but there was an older lady in front of us who seemed a bit apprehensive. After we left the Wall we ate at a restaurant that was so serene and had a great view of the Wall. We let Angie make the food selections and boy were they great! We had Kung Pao chicken, Mongolian beef, green beans, and then a dish with eggs and something else. I hadn’t really eaten since I’d been to China because I couldn’t find any food that I liked or I didn’t know which food to try. Angie went above and beyond by asking what else had we done since we’d been in China and made suggestions on how to spend the following days as well as places to eat. I will definitely use Angie again the next time I visit China. She made our trip memorable and remarkable.

The guide really made the difference, Angie knew to pick us up early and bring us to the wall before the heat and crowd became unbearable. The lunch afterwords was at a very private restaurant with a spectacular view of the wall and the food was amazing. Although seeing the Great Wall was a great experience in of itself the tour guide made it perfect.

Every step of the way was made easy and at our leisure with our guide LiLi which is a must when traveling with kids. The restaurant was the perfect way to end the trip. Fresh Chinese good in a tranquil setting. We are very happy with our choice. Great memories for years to come. Toboggan down was the highlight for our kids.

Angie was our guide to the Great Wall. She verified with our hotel the night before and picked us up on time. She had a clean, comfortable, air conditioned van for us to ride in and plenty of bottled water for our trip. She was a great tour guide as we drove out of Beijing, pointing out interesting sights along the way, and answering all our questions. At the wall, Angie took care of all the tickets, and got us onto the wall and took pictures for us and told us about the construction and history of the wall. She then let us explore and hike on our own, and then met us at the appointed time and took us to do a little shopping. After that she had the driver take us to a beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous view of the wall and the surrounding hills. The food was amazing. Dish after dish came out of delicious food. The dishes just kept coming until I didn't know where they were going to put them all on the table. We all loved the food, even my four and nine year olds. My family (husband, kids, sister and my parents) were all so pleased that we had picked this private tour over a big tour bus tour. Everything was so easy and relaxing, and it was all (except the souvenir shopping) included in the price. Angie was incredible, knowledgeable, and kind. If you choose this tour, you will be very glad you did!

We used the cable car to go up and down, They will try to sell you the chair lift - insist on the cable car if you are afraid of heights.

Would have given 5 stars if the tour had started on time, but they sent one of the best guides who more than made up for the late start. Helen was awesome and we had a nice quick visit to the Wall, and a wonderful lunch overlooking the entire area afterwards. Be prepared for walking and climbing, as the stairs on this section of the wall are very steep in some areas, but the chair lift up and the toboggan ride down were perfect. Would do this one again...

We were picked up right on time. This was private tour with my 14 year old daughter. Angie took us she was so lovely as was the driver. The day was so relaxed. We stopped and had lunch 1st Angie ordered the food was great. Then we went to the wall. It was so amazing the chair lift was great added a bit of fun for my daughter. I’ve wanted to stand on that wall for such a long time and it didn’t disappoint. Angie was at hand the whole time taking care of us. Then we toboggan down it was great fun. You know how hard teenagers can be to please and it was very hot but my daughter had a fabulous day as did I. Angie made us very comfortable.

Best Great Wall Tour out there!! Dana was amazing and so accommodating. My mother and I wanted to see the wall so badly, even if she suffered an injury to her knee and this was the perfect way to do so! Dana contacted us right away and we expressed our desire to try the toboggan and maybe eat something else other than Peking Duck for lunch. Everything was perfect! The wall was ours because we got there so early and we slowly walked part of it not much and because my mother wasn't feeling comfortable we enjoyed tea time at the kiosk. The toboggan was really awesome and both my mother and I had a blast going down the wall. Dana then took us to this great restaurant near the wall that served typical fish and Kung Pao Chicken that was out of this world delicious! If you have friends and relatives that are coming to Beijing and you are looking for a tailored and caring experience, this is the tour for you! And look at these pics! Th early bird, gets the Wall!!

Angie stressed the importance of hitting the road early for a once in a lifetime Mutianyu experience. She couldn’t have been more right. We arrived at the wall just before 8:30a, a time that many of the other tours we’d looked into said they’d start the day. So, we basically had the entire stretch of wall — from Tower 6 to Tower 14 — to ourselves for an hour before others started showing up. And that was just the beginning of a great day that included Peking Duck at a popular restaurant frequented by locals, a trip to Pearl Market and an AMAZING 100 minute massage. Let me be clear, this full body massage is outstanding in of itself but as the closer to the day, it’s icing on a delicious cake. Kudos to Angie for being a great guide and making sure we were having the best experience at every turn. Highly recommend.
