A comfortable way to view the northern lights while you wait in the well heated cabins. Only downside is that the light needs to be out in the sky over the exact route the boat takes, so good to book with the prediction checked. We had a no show. None the less, if u have nothing else for the night you can relax in the boat. We got bored after a while cuz no lights and once it is dark there is nothing to see outside and no entertainment on board either. They serve you a bowl of warm soup.

Nice cruise. Very modern and well maintained. The staff were informative and polite. Too bad it was an extremely clouded night and we couldn't see the lights. It even snowed few hours later

7 reviews i am shocked. This was the best adventure the entire week chasing the Auroras. The crew Fred & Lucas were very knowledgeable about the area, history and the auroras and th Polar Circle. The boat is panoramic and many decks to enjoy the fjord and they knew where ti find the aurora. Easy ride, pleasant and even served a warm soup. Id take this every night to chase the lights. If i would change anything is little longer ride during the aurora..it was high chances for several more hours and please serve some bread with soup! Yum. Thanks for a great experience!

It’s a cruise around Tromso island in a pleasant electric boat. If you want to hunt for the aurora I would recommend a land tour. If you fancy a chilled boat trip the this is for you. I’m sure it’s better if you see the aurora!

I would recommend this activity for those on their first or second day. The crew is very nice and does their best to find the northern lights. In addition the cruise allows you to see the night line. The only negative is that the cruise is so slow that you might be bored you if have been on a northern light hunt or have see the landscapes at night.

The boat was nice and the wifi plus bathrooms on board was convenient. The weather wasn’t look like we would see the northern lights so I wish they would have cancelled it or gave a refund for it. The ride is only 2 hours and I don't feel it is enough time to see the northern lights.

While we were not lucky to see the northern lights on our cruise, it was a beautiful clear night and saw many stars. Views of Tromso were also beautiful. A nice evening.

Beautiful scenery, comfortable boat, friendly staff. The ride is around the Tromso Island, I think it is the same each time. There is also a dinner cruise at the same time, the people who bought the dinner cruise sit at tables, and the cruisers-only sit at bar tables lining the windows. The talk was very informative, and I learned a lot about Tromso.

We booked this last minute the day after we arrived in Tromsø. We wanted an easy tour when dealing with jet lag and getting to know our way around. We had low expectations since we weren't going too far from Tromsø.
On our tour, we happened to get very lucky, and got great views of the lights. The guide (forgot his name, a very charismatic Ukranian guy) was great, and very funny. in addition to being a great host, he spent a lot of time outside on deck helping people take pictures. He showed people how to use their phones, he took pictures with their cameras and with his own, etc. And when activity got good he would run inside where people were warming up to tell them. He was great.
Otherwise the boat is nice and pleasant. There is comfortable seating inside, wifi, a bar, toilets, and they fed us a very good soup. The water seems fairly calm and even the folks in our party who get motion sickness had no problems. Our six year old had a great time. It was a very easy, pleasant experience, and we happened to also see really spectacular northern lights along with nice views of the city from the water.

Absolutely brilliant experience on this trip and well worth the money. We booked straight through trip advisor - you can also book direct. We were given a welcome drink when we got on board and your party gets their own table. We were then treated to a 3 course meal and tea and coffee, with the opportunity to buy extra drinks (they even have their own exclusive boat beer). The food was amazing but the team were the real highlight. They could not do enough - the captain had 360 views and told us when he saw the Northern Lights come out which we were lucky enough to see. Big thanks to Ivan who was an excellent photographer when the lights came out and Claire who was such a fab tour guide. We were so lucky to see the lights but would highly recommend the trip either way.
