Stop At: Giraffe Centre, Duma Rd, Nairobi 15124 Kenya
The tour starts by picking you from your Hotel/Home within Nairobi. You will be driven to Giraffe centre where you feed Rothschild giraffes under the supervision of keepers. The center has rescued, hand-reared and released around 500 orphaned giraffes back into the wild since opening in 1979. This attraction offers opportunities to feed the endangered Rothschild's giraffe by hand. The location also offers a fine education on the physiology, behaviors and habitat preferences of these beautiful animals.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Mbagathi Gate, Off Magadi Road Kws Workshop Entrance - Nairobi National Park, Nairobi 00503 Kenya
You will then be driven to David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to walk through the center from 11am - 12pm in an open space, with a rope fence around it. The youngest elephants come trotting out of the bush to greet their keepers who stand at the ready with giant bottles of milk. For the next 10-15 minutes you can watch each little one slurp and gargle their milk. Then, you'll have time to watch the elephants play. You find out how old they were when they arrived at the orphanage, where they were rescued from, and what got them into trouble. The most common reasons for getting orphaned being: mother's poached, falling into wells, and human/wildlife conflict. Once the youngest are all fed, they are led back into the bush, and it's the turn of the 2-3 year olds. Some of them can feed themselves, and some are still fed by their keepers. Watch them interact with their keepers, munch on some branches of their favorite acacias, and play with the half drums of water and mud
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: KOBE TOUGH beads & leather, Bogani East Road, Opposite Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Nairobi, Kenya

It’s also a unique factory as it employs single mother parents from the poor neighborhood who earn a living to support their families. This pottery, ceramic and bead factory employs all single mothers to make its beautiful gifts and souvenirs - which are now exported all around the world. There is a gift shop which stocks some of their wares. Please note that the workshop is closed Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday, however the gift shop is open 7 days.

This tour was really great, and well worth getting up early for. Our guide Steven got us there promptly to avoid all the crowds and queues. He even told us where to stand to get the best pictures. Highly recomended.

This was the adventure of a lifetime. You can hand fees the giraffes and pet the elephants. They have a 1 year old baby black rhino at the orphanage as well. It is a must do!!! My tour guide Stephen was very nice, knowledgeable and professional!!!

Would have been ok if we had gone, but due to flights cancellation we were unable to go. We did request a day change, but Viator could or would not change it, no refund or credit offered.

Our Guide Stephen was great and showed us where to stand to get the best photos and avoid the worst mud. He also took us to the giraffe park early so we were the only ones with the animals for a while and that made it very special. We also had a guide and learned all about the giraffes and got to see them up close. Overall the giraffe experience was much better then the elephants but both were amazing. The elephant orphanage also had a baby rhino which was a bonus as he was so adorable.

Best affordable experience. I enjoyed the activities that this package offers. White glove customer care and professionalism. I’m traveling alone and I was taken care by the driver. I recommend them.

In general, there are much better ways to spend $140 in Nairobi. I'm 100% sure why they wouldn't just make the list price of this experience $140 instead of making it $95 and saying in smaller font that you'll have to pay an extra $45. Seems like disingenuous marketing to me.
Giraffe Centre was fine for like 15 mins. It's cute to feed the giraffes and get your pics but the tour definitely doesn't need to dedicate an hour to this stop. Elephant Orphanage was cute - but also definitely didn't need to be an hour - it's basically them trotting out cute baby elephants and telling their sob stories for 60 minutes. Bead factory was surprisingly cool - very neat seeing how the items were made.

Pickup from the hotel was seamless and the guide/driver did a really good job communicating with the group. We arrived at the giraffe sanctuary early so it was like we received a private/small group tour, and the elephant orphanage was a very cool experience.
The only issue I had was the bead factory tour. It was very forced and didn’t really add value to the wildlife tour experience.
The last stop with the gift shops and cafe could easily suffice/fill the tourist souvenir need.

Very enjoyable and informative tour. It was great to learn about the different species of giraffes and to feed them. The baby elephants are so cute and you can "adopt" one! The purpose of the orphanage to raise the baby elephants that might have had challenges, then release them to the wild. The guides even made it that more easy and enjoyable.
