It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. The construction of the bridge is generally attributed to a local Ceylonese builder, P. K. Where do we start! First off Bentota Travels (Sam) is just a legend. This tour was incredible, Sam’s communication and confirmation of our Driver, times and everything else was fantastic. Danuskha our driver was just the best. So happy, informative and friendly. We had the best time in the car as we drove for hours. The tour itself was so much fun. My husband and I saw and experienced so much in this one day, we loved it. The train ride was so much fun, make sure to buy snacks on the train, the fresh vade was incredible. The tea estates were so educational and we had so much tea. Walking little Adam’s peake was great too, not as hard as I thought and I’m glad we did it. Overall the best day with a great Tour company. Do not miss this day!!

Fabulous day arranged by Sammy with the lovely Danushka as my driver. Very professional experience, from the debate on ‘what to do with my day trip’ where Sammy laid out options, pros and cons and finally we decided on this trip, all booked in advance, invoiced and payment online super efficient. Danu turned up at 4am, and we were off - snoozing in the luxury car I was abruptly awaken at 5:45am by Danu who had spotted 12 elephants just casually crossing the highway - what a sight !! We reached Adams Peak just after 7am, to be met by a local Tuk Tuk driver (lovely guy who lived on the mountain) who took me up the mountain, whilst telling me all about the Tea and surrounding areas, the walk up to the peak was steep but so worth it .. what an amazing view. Back in the Tuk Tuk, over to the Nine Arch Bridge, quick pic, back in the Tuk Tuk and over to the train for the most amazing journey. Back with Danu, I decide to skip the Tea Factory, preferring to head back to Bentoto and guess what - another Elephant on the way home along with an education in the plants and trees along the way …. Quick snooze and i was back for sunset in Bentota. I cannot speak highly enough of this experience, its well planned, super professional and frankly not one to miss. The only regret, not more time to do more…. Thank you Sammy & team, you legends.

This was an amazing adventure! Our driver, Dinesh, was waiting for us at 0400 from our resort. Our resort packed us a boxed breakfast which we were able to eat in the car on our way. Dinesh showed us many sights along the way. He was very friendly and made us very comfortable. Ella is just stunning. He introduced us to the Tuk-Tuk driver in Ella and we had a fun ride. We then met up with Dinesh again at the train station and we had a fabulous scenic train ride through Ella and over the Nine Arch bridge. Dinesh met us at the designated stop in Halpe where we were had an enjoyable tea factory tour. Later we were taken for a delicious lunch before returning to Bentota in time for a swim and dinner.

Highly recommeded day trip, most memorable part of our trip! Very well organised by Sam, Bentota travel mart who kept in good contact on Whatsapp and sent all details needed which made the day run so smoothly. Our driver, Raveen was amazing, so polite, professional and went the extra mile stopping off at waterfalls, tea hills and buying us exotic fruits to try. He got us over to Nine Arches bridge first thing whilst it was quiet with only a few people around. The train ride was epic and views spectacular. A brilliant talk of the tea plantations, really informative. Tuktuk ride to Little Adams peak and a walk with more beautiful views of Sri Lanka. Lunch was arranged at a buffet restaurant in Ella and the food was great. All in all this day was packed with experience of culture and fun! Thank you to Sam & Raveen.

Our day trip to Ella was an amazing experience. We got all the information prior to the tour by Sam and pre reservation seats in the train for us. Our guide Janith made it a perfect day. Very polite and informative guide. One hour hill country train ride has been the best experience in our holiday. Day was planned very well. Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adams peak, Waterfall , Tea Plantation .. all are wonderful sightseeing and very nice guide Tea Factory Tour. All in all, this has been the most memorable day in Sri Lanka for us. Thank heaps to the Sam for organizing this in short notice and Janith for looking after us.

What a wonderful and unforgettable day this was! I wanted a day trip and get back to my hotel from where we started (Riu) and Sam (Benton’s Travel Mart) managed the best itinerary I can imagine! It included even the train trip I so much wanted(I did it before in Sri Lanka) but wanted my 5 year old to experience as well. We saw so many other things (described in the itinerary) and managed to see unexpectedly domestic elephants on the road, wild monkeys, lizards, and other. We had requests beyond the planned one - all met by our amazing driver Ishan. Don’t think twice - I strongly recommend BTM to everyone- glad I selected them as they left lasting memories for my family- thank you, Sam and everyone!

From collection from our coastal resort to drop off our driver was fabulous and really looked after us. Roadside stops to see crocs, the Ravana waterfall with its communities of monkeys close by were some of the driver’s way of making sure our day was most memorable. The organiser ensured we boarded the train at Demdosa (north of Ella) so we could board a quiet train and experience passing over the nine arches bridge before the train Bevan packed at Ella. The visit to the tea plantation was educational and informative and created an awareness of how much hard work local people give to provide us with the many cups of tea we take for granted. The tuk-tuk ride and walk up to Little Adam’s Peak was wonderful giving 360’ views. A brilliant operator who I can highly recommend
