This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: EastWest, Tangarhofoi 13, Reykjavik 105 Iceland
First off, you will start your hunt for the Northern Lights with a bit of planning via the Aurora forecast and start your exploration by heading towards the selected location. You might drive for up to one hour to reach a good spot and perhaps wait for the lights to appear. At this point, we take out the hot chocolate and Icelandic pastries. We also have Icelandic wool blankets on board to keep you warm while standing outside.
There may be the decision of changing spots, by interacting with other locals as there are many different people outside looking for lights every night. We do this to increase the possibilities of finding Northern Lights. If there are no northern lights while on tour, you get to try again for free (upon availability).
By traveling in a minibus you get the quality of a small group of no more than 19 people, as crowds are being avoided in order to get to the best spot available.

Please note that the access to restroom facilities out of urban areas is very limited while on the Northern lights tours.
Even with the best of guides and a detailed forecast, sightings are never guaranteed. If we don’t find any lights while on tour, you can join us again another day for free (upon our availability). You will not be entitled to get a refund, though.
A refund is only possible if the tour never operates while you are in Iceland and you never get the chance to join the tour which sometimes happens due to unfavorable weather conditions.
The tour is operated in a minibus and does not exceed more than 19 passengers.
Availability for tour cannot be checked without making a booking. Credit cards will only be charged upon confirmation of shown availability
This tour takes place at night, please dress up accordingly with warm garments. Bring along a hat, gloves and a scarf. Waterproof clothing is always recommended while touring around Iceland.

Simon was a great guide. He really tried to get everyone’s energy up despite the late night and everyone already exhausted from the day (myself included).
Pick up time was prompt and organized. Highly recommend this tour. Be sure to dress warm during the colder months. The wool blankets were a life saver. The professional pictures came out a couple days after too.
It was VERY late in the season so the likelihood of seeing the lights were slim but with great luck and a secret stop, we were able to see them. Got to know some great people by the end of the experience. Thank you for a memorable birthday. Simonster.. you’re the man!

I booked trip last minute to see Northern lights during my trip to Iceland. I wasn’t sure if I will get to see it but took a chance and I am glad I did because we saw the lights and it was spectacular. Gummi was fun, informative and thoughtful. He answered all our questions and waited outside in cold to setup camera while we were inside in bus. He took our pictures and that cherry on the top.

Highlight of our trip. We went on 27 April so we knew high chance of not seeing the lights but our guide Baldvin was amazing. Super knowledgeable. He not only managed to show us the incredible phenomena, he also took amazing photos so we get to relive this highlight of our entire trip. Wish we had of used East West to book all our excursions as they were fantastic.

This was a magical night. Our driver and tour guide Gummi was amazing. He was so kind, funny, and patient while taking our photos, answering our questions, and sharing hot chocolate and Icelandic pastries. I will cherish these memories forever. Thank you Gummi, EastWest, and of course beautiful Iceland for giving us an unforgettable opportunity to connect with the nature at its best.

Our guide was fantastic (Baldvin). He was very professional and knowledgeable throughout our journey. Provided comfort from the cold with blankets and hot chocolate (delicious). Tried several locations until we saw a little amount of northern lights. He seemed disappointed for us that there were no more from that night but we appreciated all he did.
