Stop At: Mount Etna, 95030 Catania, Sicily Italy
Along the trail that will take us up to 2000mt a.s.l., our guide will tell you about how the highest volcano in Europe was born, without leaving the aspects related to flora and fauna that characterize it. After admiring old and new lava flows we will proceed on foot to the inner part of old craters. The charming panorama and the picturesque scenery will give us the feeling of being on the moon.
After a short break, the hike will continue with a visit, carrying helmet and torch, inside a lava cave to admire a unique spectacle.
Walking through a luxuriant vegetation, we will finally admire the spectacular Valle del Bove.

The Berlin lady tour guide (sorry forget her name) was incredible, very knowledgable and friendly. Really would of liked to seen one of the craters which was only a minute walk away but we didn’t have time.

This company and Viator only care about making money and does not care about its customers. I made an error of booking this tour and only finding out the night before that they would not pick me up at the hotel I had specified at booking. It turned out that the pick up site was 2 hours away. The tour company could have flagged this sooner as it was obvious that I had made an error. This meant that I did not receive a refund despite reaching out to the tour company and Viator. If you are looking for a Mount Etna trip I would avoid this company as it is not a people orientated company.

Friendly and knowledgeable guide; good itinerary; well organised and good communication. 100% happy with the local tour operator. Viator agent couldn't be bothered to answer my enquiry.

Gaetano was an excellent guide. We were picked up conveniently and on time. We enjoyed the company of the other guests. The programme was perfect for a half day and we were well-informed by our guide who gave us a real feel for the importance and power of Mt Etna

Our trip got off to a rocky start when our pick up was 40 minutes late. The van was hot (A/C broken)- seats small and uncomfortable-too close together no keg room at all.
However our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and did the tour in English and Italian.. We enjoyed the experiences on the tour and as we stated would recommend it.

Thanks to our knowledgable tour guide DAI, we were able to have a wonderful trip to Mount Etna. The guide arrived on time to the pickup points and took all eight of us one by one. With the van running up the hill, we were able to make three stops and the guide was kind enough to explain to us sooo many things about the volcano and its tight link to Sicily. We saw we learned more than we ever expected. The volcano tunnel definitely opened our eyes. After making to 1000m, we hiked an hour in the hail and mini-blizzard and the scene was amazing. After a 6-hour trip, we felt like we need to come back for a second time and we hope to have DAI as our tour guide again! Thank you Etna, thank you Sicily! A Muntagna!

Walking through a lava tube was surreal. I loved walking to the edge of some of Etna’s many gigantic craters. It helps to appreciate the scale of the volcano. Our guide, Daniele, is a scientist himself, and he explains all the phenomena in an easy-to-understand way.

The Etna volcano is an amazing place! Our guide, Daphne, was very knowledgeable and also very kind & patient. We had a diverse group and she took care of each person’s needs. It was a good tour!
