Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Palapa Bar and Grill, Boca del Rio Drive, San Pedro, Belize

Pick up is not included. We depart from the Palapa Bar dock, and we meet there 15 minutes before departure. Then the ride to the Hol Chan Marine Reserve takes 45 minutes, while you lay down on comfortable cushions enjoying the ocean, the views and the sunshine, accompanied by drinks and music.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Hol Chan Marine Reserve, Caribena Street, San Pedro, Ambergris Caye Belize

Hol Chan is Mayan for "little channel" and is a natural break in the reef, which has always been a very productive fishing area with abundant marine life. It is open to the sea beyond the reef, so allows marine creatures to travel from the outside of the reef to the inside and vice versa. It became the first marine reserve in the entire country of Belize back in 1987 and this have led to the species to re-generate and the corals of growing unharmed. This snorkeling area has the greatest variety of marine life and coral, compared to being an "underwater zoo" - you have the chance to see all kinds of corals, fishes and even sea turtles! Over 160 species of fish and forty types of coral have been recorded in the area. The snorkeling here is minimum 45 minutes.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Shark Ray Alley, Ambergris Caye Belize

The story behind Shark Ray Alley is that in all times, due to its position close to the channel to go outside the protecting barrier reef for fishing, it was the point where the local fishermen came in with their catch and started cleaning it - throwing the head, etc into the water. This converted it a natural habit for the marine life such as nurse sharks and sting-rays that associate the sound of an engine to food. The water is shallow and transparent and you will see the nurse-sharks and sting-rays on the surface, meaning that even if you don't get in to the water you can enjoy it from the boat as well! The nurse-sharks and sting-rays eventually swim away, but the stop is minimum 20 minutes.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Caye Caulker, Caye Caulker, Belize Cayes

Caye Caulker is just how you imagine an authentic Caribbean Island and a nice contrast to the more developed Ambergris Caye. Since the 1960's tourism has slowly grown on the island, but it has kept its quiet laid-back atmosphere, with the motto "Go Slow". We stop by the famous “the Split”, from where you can stroll off to explore the village.

Duration: 1 hour

This tour far exceeded our expectations. The crew (Anna and Raul) and Captain were amazing on the Cas Cat. We snorkeled first, at Hol Chan by the reef. Unbelievable experience, saw several rays, a shark and HUGE numbers of fish. Shark alley was also more than expected. Great lunch prepared by the crew, the refreshments were flowing and then a Caye Caulker visit. The ocean was not a happy ocean, but the Captain worked his magic all day long. Then a ceviche snack, again prepared by the Captain! We recommend this to anyone who wants a great day on the water with unbelievable snorkeling.

The snorkeling was amazing but the remainder of the trip was just ok. The boat was older and the ride to each stop was way too long.

My wife and I did this excursion on the last full day of our trip to Belize, it was our favorite experience of the trip. We were fortunate enough to get some extra sail time noting their boat was docked at our resort (Belizean Shores). The crew was experience and really friendly. They offered flotation devices for inexperienced snorkelers, it made the world of difference and made the experience much more enjoyable. I recommend a sun shirt for the dive as the salt water expedited the removal of my sun screen. The sailing excursion stops at Cay Caulker, there was plenty of places to each and the prices were really reasonable.

We had the most amazing time! The guides were professional, fun, knowledgeable, experienced, and made you feel at ease in the water (if you're a first time snorkeler like I was). You won't be disappointed! One of the best days of our trip! We will definitely be going again the next time we visit Ambergris Caye.

We went on this excursion with Charlie and Juan as our captains. They did a great job to make sure that we got to see all that the island had to offer, were well fed, supplied many cocktails for us, and provided local tips for the remainder of our trip. The team here truly does such a fabulous job with this excursion. We thought it was going to be too long, spending seven hours on the boat, but it was just perfect. we had wanted to do the semi private, but that was not available, and in retrospect, it really would not have made a huge difference. The boat is spacious enough for 12 to be onboard and we got to make many new friends! Thanks Juan, thanks Charlie!!
