This Castle, built in the 14th century to house the troops and protect the Alcazaba, is today one of the most visited moments in Malaga where you can walk through its walls with impressive views of Malaga, or enter its Interpretation Center to discover his story.
It receives its name from a lighthouse on its top (Jabal-Faruk, mount of the lighthouse). Although it was used by Phoenicians and Romans, it would be the Nasrid king Yusuf I in 1340 who would make this settlement a fortress.
In the reconquest it suffered the siege of the Catholic Monarchs during the summer of 1487 and Fernando del Católico made it his temporary residence after the victory. In addition, he designated the castle as an element of the city's coat of arms.

Tuk-tuks are booked privately, and the price is set based on the number of tuk-tuks needed for the group, with the legal maximum being 4 passengers per tuk-tuk.
The tuk-tuks do not have a trunk, so you cannot take child seats, wheelchairs, suitcases or large packages.
For safety reasons, pets and animals are not allowed.

Loved doing this tour on our first day in Malaga! Fun and easy way to see way more of the city and places we never would have otherwise. Alberto was a great guide and his English was really good. We were 4 friends who had a wonderful time on the 2-hour private tour.

Fernando and I had a fantastic experience with this Eco Tuk Tuk tour. The weather was perfect at the time, the driver was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to take some breathtaking panoramic pictures of the bay. We recommend this tour highly. Very much worth the money.
