Lantern Making Class- The Great Cultural Heritage of Hoi An
A Collapsible Hoi An Souvenir
You will have a chance to enjoy our herbal tea and listening to the master to talk about the history and the culture of Hoi An Lanterns....
The master will prepare the frame for you and you will decorate the lanterns by yourself
-Select your desired silk and color
-Apply glue and let it dry
- Set silk and stretch the silk to cover the stake
-Fully cover the sides with silk
-Cover the top and bottom of the hanger with silk strips
-Select a tassel for the lantern base
- Finished! Your lantern can also be folded and stowed in your luggage to be brought home
And the master will make one more lantern for you like the special gifts from them at the end of the class.

The workshop is around 2-2,5 hours and everyone is very kind and helpful. Me and my friend had an amazing time making our own lanterns. Would definitely recommend to go here

It was really fun, we got to do a lot ourselves and they were really really nice. Definitely worth it ! You get to keep your own made lantern.

Best lantern making experience. From the start you are welcomed into a family. They take their time and have fun teaching, singing, and enjoying conversations. Make sure to add to your list on Hoi An... this lantern class is the place because the community is beautiful and very family fun.

Super nice workshop and very professional! Spent 1,5 hours here and had a good laugh with the staff, ended up with a beautiful lantern to bring back home.

This was amazing. I wasn’t sure what to expect however, was impressed with the quality of materials used. The frame was already assembled for us, and the class took around an hour. We had a choice of material and then we assembled the silk lantern.
This would be a great experience for the whole family. Highly recommended.

What a great morning. We booked the lantern course not realising it was just to stick the fabric to a ready made frame (1hr course) we were able to change to the 2hr course so that we could make the frame as well which in my opinion is worth doing and only a little extra . The whole thing was so much fun and I would highly recommend doing this when in Hoi An
