Learn how to make a sterling silver ring from scratch, with our AWARD WINNING EXPERIENCE!
Start off by marking your silver to the length you require by choosing which finger you would like it on. Then, you'll use a handsaw to cut it to size, you'll learn how to form the ring, using a mallet to shape it to the ring mandrel. You'll watch as it is soldered in front of you by an expert tutor—all the time, she will explain exactly what she is doing. Then you'll learn to file it by using different hand files—this is fun, as it is when you get to individualize your ring, deciding what curve you would like it to have. This can make a great difference to the end result. Next, you'll choose from three very different textures. You get to use your creativity with the planishing hammer to achieve the texture you require. People love this part as it's when you make your ring truly individual. Finally you get to choose your polish - polished only on the inside, to give it an artistic/rustic look or the glittery sparkle of a fully polished ring. It's your decision. Then the best bit—you get to keep your ring! It's the ultimate souvenir for remembering your trip to Ireland!

Jill and team were fantastic to ve with for this experience. My ring actually came out great and that has a lot to do with their attention and great attitudes. Ended up being one of my favorite things I did while I was in Dublin.

Went to forge two rings with my partner, the man leading this was good the rest of the staff were standoffish and not particularly welcoming. I sent my ring off to get gold plated. I never received the good. I had to chase silver works who took days/weeks to reply. They asked me to contact the delivery service who said they can only deal with the sender. Silverworks wouldn't help at which point we put in a request for a refund of just my ring plus the gold plating fee with the credit card company to which silverworks wasted no time asking why we'd done this. They offered to send a new ring, which defeats the point in making your own. And at this point we just wanted the refund for the goods we hadn't recovered. My partner asked them to get in touch with the postal service and said we'd happily cancel the refund request but they refused to help. They then put in a counter claim saying we'd received the goods but as my partner had the email correspondance between us and them they obviously got this rejected. They then proceeded to send a few rude emails to my partner. I've never left a review before but this whole experience was ridiculous.

That was a great experience! The class was a lot of fun and our teacher, Audrey was awesome!!! Five stars on the experience - and would definitely do it again.

This class was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Don't let the thought of metalworking intimidate you; the instructors are so helpful every step of the way and real experts of the craft. You don't need any previous knowledge to make a beautiful ring, and it's a ton of fun. It's the best souvenir I've ever brought home from a trip and I'd happily do it again.

A very fun and unique experience! I’ve always had difficulty getting rings to fit just right on me. This gave me the chance to fit it perfectly to myself!

My partner and I enjoyed this so much. It’s an unforgettable experience/memory. Being taught the process of ring making while making own own rings was fun. Great instructions that were easy to follow. The rings fit too!
