Experience the daily life of a Parisian baker as you learn the secrets of perfecting the classic bread that's an integral part of French daily life: the baguette. There are several varieties of baguettes, and during your workshop you'll see just a few of the many different types and styles that exist; there's more to a baguette than meets the eye! The flour will fly while you watch your expert baker demonstrate the proper techniques, from mixing the dough to shaping, scouring and baking. Then you'll get to try it out these techniques yourself! The reward for your hard work comes as you bite into your freshly-baked baguette as soon as it's out of the oven. But that's not all; you'll also discover how the famous French croissant is made from start to finish. It may seem daunting, but don't worry; the baker will help you understand the process and the secrets behind making perfect croissants. You'll taste a fresh croissant as the class concludes. Over these two hours of fun and discovery, you'll learn all you need to know about baking, how the ingredients play an integral role in the final results, and just what makes French baking so special.

This was a fantastic experience. I am a somewhat experienced baker, but I learned a ton from the workshop and can’t wait to try my hand at baguette and croissant making at home. I went with my teenage daughter and we both had a blast. I would recommend this to anyone interested in baking and learning more about food or for families wanting a more hands-on experience.

Such a fun and interactive class! Among all the history, process, and hands on experience, we had such a blast - needing a translator made it feel that much more authentic!

I have no idea what was the point of calling this a "class" as there was absolutely no real teaching of how to make croissants. I had gone in trying to figure out how to fold and roll out the croissants and not much information was passed along- just that he used a pasta maker machine. Absolute waste of money and would NOT reccomend. 2 others in the "class" agreed they though we were going to get hands on. Scoring a baguette does not count. Neither does beating a ball of dough once.

Fantastic experience! Our host was so friendly snd fun, but taught us so much. We sampled in class some of the breads we baked and even brought a couple of loaves home with us. Since we don’t speak French, there was a translator for those of us who were English speaking. Quite a memorable experience!
