Lower Falls, the biggest waterfall in Yellowstone at 308-feet tall, is the most famous waterfall in the park.
The canyon’s colors were created by hot water acting on volcanic rock. The canyon has been rapidly downcut more than once, perhaps by great glacial outburst floods.

Overall good experience but i think we were not taken to some of the largest hot water pools/springs/geysers in Yellowstone national park. The guide was well equipped with binoculars and spotting scope, also gave good rest stops and food pickup place. Also, the guide did not equally everyone on the way back. It was just a 2-3 hour dialogue with a few folks in return journey.

Looking at the $300 per person price tag we wondered if this this would be a bit out of our budget. We took into consideration that this is a private tour with snacks and drinks and lunch included- as well as a full day (12 hours). So glad we did! This was the best day and Patrick was the BEST guide. Everyday is different with wildlife but we saw numerous herds of elk and buffalo, coyote, 2 moose, eagles, and 3 grizzly bears ( 399 and her cub and big boy Huck) ! Patrick was wonderful to spot them and then stop to get pictures and kept us and the animals safe. We also saw Old Faithful, all the geothermal features, Artists Point, Yellowstone lake and all the good wildlife view areas. Patrick was so knowledgeable and accommodating we really could not recommend him enough (give that boy a raise and a promotion!) We had 5 adults, 2 elementary kids, and 1 teenager - everyone had the best time. Patrick even had trivia and awarded us jolly ranchers for right answers! The young kids even said they liked it better than Disney! Everyone had their own binoculars and Patrick had a spotting scope with an attachment to take pictures to send us! We would do this a million times over. Good Show guys!

We were able to see and take pictures of Grizzlies (10 ft away from our van), Elks, Cranes and Moose and dozens of mountains Geysers, rivers, lakes and falls.
