With just a 2-hour drive outside of Bogotá, the weather gets warmer, and an awarded high-quality coffee is grown carefully among steep mountains, dense forests, and low-flying clouds. La Palma & El Tucán, not only produces top-notch coffee but they also benefit coffee-growing families nearby, supporting fair-trade and eco-farming.
You will be driven from a meeting point right into the countryside through the plains of Bogotá's Savannah. As you reach the destination, you will feel a slight change in temperature; a few degrees warmer and some MASL lower which open the possibility of coffee growing close to the big city.
Stop At: LA PALMA Y EL TUCAN HOTEL, Finca las Nubes -Vereda San Cayetano, Zipacón, Zipacon, Zipacón, Cundinamarca, Colombia
Enter La Palma & El Tucán. Admire their coffee plantations until you reach the coffee bar area. You will be received with a special coffee brewed carefully to highlight the exquisite flavors of Colombian Coffee.
After enjoying your coffee and being introduced to the place, learn the different stages of the coffee process. Starting with the seeds, then transplantation, crops, and harvest you will get in touch with nature and learn about different coffee species and the factors that make Colombian special coffee so valuable. Enter the coffee lab where you will get to know coffee tasting facts and learn to differ and recognize the many flavors present in this beverage.
Finally, enjoy a delicious lunch prepared with many ingredients from the fields. Afterward, you can enjoy one last coffee as you solve your doubts and learn more from our knowledgeable guide before returning to Bogotá.

We had such a great time getting out Bogotá and learning so much about the specialty coffee processes. Everyone we met was so generous, open and knowledgeable.

Amazing experience at the coffee farm, including a five-star lunch, coffee tasting, and a tour of the coffee farm. We were there with our 10 y.o. daughter and she enjoyed it as well. We were picked up from our AirBnB in Bogota and dropped off there at the end. Very convenient.
