Arrive at our office at 8.45am.
We do all the necessary paperwork.
We then go to our gear room, where we get you organised with helmets, harnesses and wet suits.
Once organised we jump into one of our 14 seater buses and head out to the abseiling location.
After the safety brief we start abseiling on a small cliff, we progress through the morning up to 30 meter high abseils.
At around midday we have a picnic lunch
The drive to the canyon takes around 10 minutes, Once we arrive we head down through a temperate rain forest to the start of the canyon.
We change out of our clothes into our wet suites and put our clothes into a dry bag and canyon pack which is provided for you.
Once in the canyon its all water jumps and swims.
When we get to the end of the canyon we set the ropes up at the top of the waterfall and "down we go"
We spend a bit of time at the bottom of the falls then its a 25 to 35 minute uphill hike back to the vehicle.
Arrive back at the office generally by 4.30 for a well deserved beer or soft drink.

What an amazing adventure! We did the Empress Falls canyoning and abseiling with a wonderful group.
Started out the morning abseiling down some beautiful spots to help us feel comfortable and learn the ropes. Then enjoyed an incredibly delicious lunch before heading into the canyon. The trek through the canyon was both challenging (and cold) but very rewarding. Most of our group had their own moment where they struggled but our wonderful guide Zol was patient and kind and helped us overcome our fears. Ending with possibly the least graceful descent down the waterfall for me and a textbook perfect descent from my partner then a nice steep hike back out.
To say I was pushed out of my comfort zone is an understatement but it was such an incredible experience.
I cannot thank Zol enough for his amazing guidance making us feel safe and helping us navigate each part of the day.
I recommend High and Wild to anyone looking for an adventure and challenge!

We had a super fun day with Ben, abseiling in the morning and canyoning in the afternoon. Small group, individual attention and assistance, catered for dietary needs at lunch. Activities felt safe but challenging.

Would 100% recommend this day to anyone - it was one of the most beautiful sights and best days I’ve ever had! Our guide Brian was great at encouraging me when I felt scared without being forceful. I can’t wait to come back !

Quite the adventure! The guides, Brian and Ben, were really knowledgeable, friendly, encouraging, and supportive. The level of fitness required was more than expected, the hike out of the canyon was really intense! I learned a lot about what I'm capable of as well as my limits. This is probably the most adventurous thing I'll ever do - it was crazy! So glad I took the leap and booked the trip.

This was an amazing experience and you will definitely not regret booking this trip! Our guide, Brian was great! He was a great guide and just an awesome human being in general! He gave us information about the wildlife around the canyon as well. Everyone on the trip was lovely! Abseiling down the 30 metre waterfall was definitely the highlight of the trip! The only bad thing was how short the trip was!

I called writhing an hour of the start time to see what was available. The guys quickly let me in to the abseiling and canyoning day trip and the raced to organise my lunch while I got there. Yes, the 30 meter waterfall was a highlight; however the local knowledge of the guide just made this the best day I’ve ever had in the mountains; And I’ve lived here for years. He knew every species of flora or fauna we passed which added the sweetest commentary to an already amazing day. So impressed!

This was one of thr best adventures we have ever done, and we have done some great things! The tour was amazing, the guide Ben, was awesome! Do one of these tours, there are things worth paying for and this is it!! The lunch they provide too is delicious
