Itinerary
Our Full Day Fishing Charter from Los Suenos and Jaco Costa Rica is the perfect fishing trip for anglers looking to catch Big Game. We start your charter by cruising to the fishing grounds, one hour and 25 miles offshore to our Captains favourite fishing marker. During Full Day trips, you have the time to hit the 25-mile marker where the Big Game fish such as Marlins, Sailfish and Mahi Mahi are hiding around debris or artificial reefs.
On full day fishing trips, you can combine inshore, offshore, and bottom fishing.
Inshore is especially a great option if you are coming to Costa Rica to catch the elusive Rooster Fish.

Awesome day! Fantastic captain and mate. We caught some Dorado and Sailfish, exactly as hoped! Also great food, drinks, well taken care of for my son and I. Would highly recommend, and great value as well.

Catching large sailfish, yellowfin tuna and a mahi-mahi was a first time awesome experience. Also, ziplining and riding an ATV through the mountains of Jaco, Costs Rica was exciting and so much fun.

What an awesome experience out on La Patrona!!! Delicious lunch provided, caught a trophy sailfish and more mahi than I could reel in! You couldn’t ask for a more knowledgeable crew, we had a wonderful time. I had 3 offshore fishing trips while visiting Los Suenos La Patrona was hands down the best one this crew really delivered THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE EXPERIENCE you guys are amazing!!!! Can’t wait to come back and book with you all again

This was our second trip with La Patrona and we had another amazing day with them! This crew is so professional and truly know what they are doing! We caught 13 Mahi and a Sailfish. They filtered all the fish for us and vacuum sealed them. We had a delicious lunch and lots of drinks on the boat. I would highly recommend this charter if you are looking to have a once in a lifetime fishing trip!

We (2 adults and 4 teens) booked a whole day offshore with La Patrona. The crew was great and very professionnal. The gear was ready when we got to the fishing spot. The lunch was very good and there was a lot of drinks on board.
For the fishing part of the story... we cought SIX sailfish that we all took in the boat for pictures ! So the fishing was great on La Patrona and better than most other boats on the same day.
Considering the release of all of our fish, Captain Jose took us to a yellow fins tuna spot. We caught at leats 20 tunas in 15 minutes! The crew members made filets out of all the tunas and gave them to us for dinner.
So, if I ever get back to Jaco CR, I will go back fishing on La Patrona !

We booked this charter from a recommendation .
The Pro's-
The crew were all nice and professional and experienced.
The toilet was good, especially if you have women on board.
The food provided was good and plentiful.
The weather conditions were less than favorable and the crew tried to make the best of it.
The crew was on time for departure.
The Con's.
The boat is advertised as a new 2019 which is not accurate, was refurbished in 2019, but in good shape.
The boat needs to have the radio or sound system improved, no speakers outside the cabin to listen to some music while traveling or fishing.
some seating with a back rest would be nice, the cushioned box over the engine was the seating area.
Overall it was a good charter, the crew was good and they tried hard to overcome the challenging weather conditions for the days we had chartered. I would recommend this boat and staff.
