Meet at one of our collection points (earlier times apply) or join us at this - the final departure point. Sit back in a comfortable tour coach and enjoy listening to the wine commentary en route to the Franschhoek Valley or make use of the complimentary wifi.

Stop At: Groot Drakenstein, Groot Drakenstein, Franschhoek, Western Cape
After arrival at the Groot Drakenstein Tram station in the Franschhoek Valley, you will receive your tram ticket and head off to explore the wine estates in your own time using the Hop On Hop off tram and tram buses.
The Navy line visits Vrede en Lust, Plaisir de Merle, Boschendal, Solms Delta, Allée Bleue, Camberley, Bartinney, Le Pommier & Zorgvliet.
The circular routes stop at any of 9 wine estates with the tram or tram bus passing every hour. (Realistically you will visit 4-5 estates).
Wine tasting fees are excluded and payable on the day. Hop-on-hop-off at your preferred wine estates. Please note that times are subject to change.

We return to the V&A collection point between 17h30 and 17h45. From there you are able to return to your original point of collection.

Excellent tour five stops your choice. Be prepared to be a little fun buzzed. Enjoyed the day even with not so great westher.

The scenery surrounding the various wineries is wonderful. The organisers do a good job in getting you around and the prices for tasting are ‘ reasonable’ . I would like to see more help in choosing what route (red,blue or pink) to take but other than that an enjoyable experience.

The experience was wonderful. From catching a bus at V&A Waterfront to the tram line. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I also enjoyed the wine tastings at the selected estates.

This was such an amazing experience. I travel to Cape Town often but had never done this tour before. I managed to visit 4 Wine Estates using both the Franschoek Wine Tour Bus and Tram. The schedules may seem intimidating but tour guides make it very easy to navigate by telling you the next pick up and drop off times each leg.
I would definitely do this again, this time to visit all the other Wine Estates I missed.

Personally leaving by at 9.30 not 8.30 and 4 estates would if suited me better and a little diagram much Like a London tube map but really simple would of helped understand the route but a lovely day out with great wine and food.

So far this is the only bad tour experience that I had in South Africa. The tour agency people is not helpful at all.. I selected a meeting point for pick up and I reached there 15 mins early as agreed time. However, I waited for 30 mins and no bus comes to pick up , the tour agency didn’t contact me and ask where am I at least? But until I contacted them.. their answer was the bus left and you need to go to another pick up point. And when I reached another pick up point, the city sightseeing counter staffs told me that the bus has left. I was wondering they they asked me go to the next pick up point and the bus had left for a second time? After much reasoning with the staff, the staff just said “sorry sir cannot be refunded as per policy” and if you want to complain or request for a refund .. contact Viator and not them. Poor service

This activity runs smoothly like a well-oiled machine. Everything is done in a timely manner, and every employee seems to be well trained. Great activity and cool way to spend the day away from the city's hustle and bustle.

Wonderful day out and about in the wine estates of Franschhoek and Stellenbosch! The wine tram was a fun ride and also a novelty to get to/from the locations. Staff were friendly, especially on the tram BUS :)

We had amazing experience.It was full day tour from 08:30 to 16:45.We had chance to visit 4 different wine states.I recommend you to choose vineyards before you go not to waste time.Staff was helpful and guided during trip.Thank you so much team❤️
