Educational experience that help you understand the other side of Kenya. Elijah has been on time, patient, and extremely kind to show me the lifehood and history of his community. Was a privilige to see some of the projects such as the bone making shop, power woman to raise hiv awereness, and the lovely school. Also Elijah mom's chai is really good. Would advise you to bring extra cash for donations or items support. Not suitable to people who are sensitive to smell or extreme dirty conditions. Watch out for phone snatching as well. Thanks Elijah and your mom, good to see your brother too.

A must see in Kenya. As managing as the Safari and villages are, it is also important to explore the slums. It’s a very humble and eye opening experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone to do

I came across this tour on my way from Uganda in May. The guide arranged for a meeting at Greenhouse mall where the tour starts. The experience was eye opening. The people in kibera are very warm and friendly. You get to see an open air market children in a school and also share a moment with the guides family. Totally worth it.

It was really perfect and felt very safe, even if I was alone. If you want a really genuine experience book the tour. There wasn't any point where I felt wrong and I glad I did even if originally thought it would be a bit unfriendly to the people who live in kibera to do a "slum tour". In the end everybody was nice to me and I don't want to miss the things I have experienced there.

It was great seeing the old colonial railway line, visiting a school and donating for the women's group. Visiting the slum was a great experience for our kids. Everyone can take part in making a difference. Good job Effie and Elijah

The trip was amazing. It exceeded our expectations. At first we were afraid of the idea but Lucas and effie made us feel comfortable and safe. They support a school called Hope and shine that is run through donations. Your kind support is very helpful. Cheers hope to visit again soon

The slum Kibera walk tour was a memorable experience. We spent time in a class with children singing learning and sharing a meal all together. We met and talked to local people However I gave a 3 stars because the guide didn’t know so much about the history of Kenya/Nairobi, and because I learnt that a full day is about 4 hours instead of 6 hours mentioned on the platform. And also we didn’t have the lunch as promised in the description
