After departure from Ponta Delgada, take the road to the amazing sight of Vista do Rei belvedere, where we can enjoy the beautiful view of the Sete Cidades crater, "Blue and Green Lake." We continue the tour going down to the lakes, making several stops in different viewpoints and going near the margins of the twin lakes.
Continue to the Mata do Canário, a natural park with a belvedere offering a different view of this unique landscape, and then to the Pico do Carvão road, with numerous small lakes, including "Empadas Lakes." Enjoy multiple perspectives of the north and south shores of the island. Stop for lunch, served in a local restaurant where you can savor typical azorean food. We continue our visit by discovering the city of Ribeira Grande, with its unique historical center dating from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. We end the day by ascending to Pico da Barrosa to the Lagoa do Fogo (Fire Lake) and the beautiful natural park with thermal pools, waterfalls and many different types of endemic plants, protected and untouched by man. Return to Ponta Delgada for drop-off at your accommodations.

Bruno, our guide is great ! He show us many great places and provided a lot of detailed information about these places. We are happy with Seven cities lake ! It is amazing ! Pineapple fabric and ceramics fabrics also amazing ! Sete Cidades make us a lot of positive emotions!

Tour guide was amazing, we had an incredible day with him. His knowledge of the Azores in general and Sao Miguel in particular with its landmarks, and scenic areas was unsurpassable. The island is beautiful. Lunch was included as well and he took us to a small family run restaurant and had an amazing meal of locally caught fresh tuna. I highly recommend!

Wow! Bruno was our guide for a fabulous day touring the island … he took us beyond what was promised. We saw the 7cities and the lake of fire… a waterfall, the pineapple plantation and more. Bruno was full of good information and shared many beautiful vistas with us! Would not hesitate to recommend … and of course got us back to the ship on time

We had an excellent time with Hugo on the full day tour around the island. Started around 9, ended around 5, and we got a lot done (Sete Cidades, Lagoa do Fogo, Praia Da Santa Barbara, Ilhéus dos Mosteiros, and a bunch of other small stops along the way). He’s very informative, well-spoken, and super nice. He has excellent English skills as well, if that’s a necessity. We highly recommend Hugo for tours on São Miguel!

Hugo was a wonderful guide on our full day tour - very knowledgeable, courteous and happy to accommodate our requests. Pick-up and drop off were right on time in a small, clean van. There were lots of stops, including a generous lunch (optional at own cost) at a small locally owned restaurant. The tour provided a wide variety of sights including the north and west, where we drove to the highest peak and felt the full force of a cold wind and the lowest warmer valley where we saw a beautiful waterfall and then Surfer's Beach. . Although the famous, colourful hydrangeas were long past their prime, we saw a large variety of plants, and miles of lush green countryside. A wonderful way to see lots of the island in one short day. This tour would easily accommodate anyone with basic fitness levels. You will experience a variety of weather conditions, so I would suggest dressing in layers. To sum it up, our guide described his island as a cross between Hawaii and Ireland and I would tend to agree!

We had the most amazing day on this tour! This is our first time visiting the Azores and this tour was the BEST way to see the island. Lunch was provided and it was delicious. Definitely a must if you’re looking to experience some breathtaking views!
