Itinerary

In this hike we will explore different hidden beaches following a Beach/Jungle trail

ABOUT:
We meet in Zona Romantica, old center of Puerto Vallarta. Here we take an urban transport just like the locals do!

After a pleasant 25 min ride along the coast we get off at a picturesque fisher town.
Here we start our hike following the riverbank and ascent in the tropical forest with some amazing views!

A short 40 minute hike brings us to our first destination: Colomitos Beach, officially the smallest beach in Mexico!
After a rest and pictures we continue our path and leave the many tourist behind us to explore more hidden beaches.

Here we have the opportunity to swim alone and feel in paradise.
If the sea is calm, we will visit a secret place where to snorkel and observe a great diversity of fish!

After this refreshing break we continue to our final destination: 'Playa las animas'.
Here we can have an incredible local seafood plate. (Not included)

Last but not least we take the boat back to where we started the hike. Here we will see the bay from a total different perspective!

Awesome experience. The bus ride is a fun way to feel immersed in the culture. The boat rides were beautiful and the hiking was terrific. I would classify the hike as moderate. Definitely some semi difficult spots that I could see some people struggling with. The beaches were amazing and very empty in May.

This trip does not have any safety whatsoever! No consent sign consider the hikes is quite dangerous, especially for those who has never hiked before, please do not do it! Even for some that quite athletic, and I am consider myself pretty athletic, the experience was pretty surprising, which is not explain on the site. We had to look where was our tour guide, instead of he was looking for us, on our 1st arrival before the bus ride. On the top of that, we took public bus that was not comfortable. The bus is not safe with lots of passengers in the bus, until some are standing due to no more seats. On to the next hikes he kept saying it is easy, easy.... which there NOT! He should not have said that, just to get the people. He does not think any safety whatsoever the the people who join his hike. I am glad that some of our friends had to stop and took boat ride and not continued with the hikes. The had to pay out of pocket for this boat ride. Because if they did, that would be very dangerous for them since they do not have much experience on doing hiking. It mentioned 6 hidden beaches and with the snorkeling, that was not what happened. it was only 4 beaches, and only 1 beach that you can really stop to be at the water. You only have 15-20 minutes to be at the beach, the rest you just kept walking until the end of the hike for you get the boat to be back where you began. About snorkeling, this tour guide giving un-sanitated equipment from his backpack and just gave them to the people who wanted them, and at the side of beach which are not clean at all. When you call it snorkeling experience, it should be on the separate area or at the of the beach. It is a mess! Even we could not choose our own restaurant where we would like to eat, since the tour guide told us quite rudely, where else... where else you want to eat, this is the best one in this area, which that is not true because we could see better places to eat. We were sure he get some share from the restaurant. On that point we just want to get back and done with this tour. Gladly the food is not disappointing. So kudos for this restaurant. I would not recommend this trip.

This hike was quite easy. Not strenuous at all. There was a little bit of up and down but noting that felt like actual real hiking. The beaches we visited were nice and empty, no crowds on a Monday. The boat ride back was worth the extra $250 pesos because we rode by the Arcos national parks and we go to see some sea life as well as a blue footed booby. It was an all day event and I would def recommend this.

Excellent trip overall! Well worth the intermediate hiking. After the first uphill hiking, the rest was easier and was shorter distance from one beach to the next. Our tour guide, Roco, was excellent and provided great tour guidance. Highly recommend this activity.

Had a very good time. I will tell you that this is not an easy hike. You need to wear proper hiking shoes with tread and don't bring tote bags like half of the women did. Bring a proper backpack for your things like sunscreen, water bottles and towel if you need it. Wear your swim suit under your clothes. It is physically demanding and not for you if you can't walk on a treadmill for 60min or have bad knees. Bring money because you will pay at that restaurant at the end. Guide has arrangements with the vendors he uses and they are more expensive then in town. Also they will offer you a boat ride back to PV at the end and it was like $275 pesos. Or just take the included boat ride back to the bus. Over all a great experience the unprepared hikers were the ones that cause hold ups and delays.

Fantastic moderate hike beginning in Boca at the end of the road and going to 6 beaches. You will stop at 4 of them because 2 are rocky. Alex was a fun and personable guide who grew up in the area and has hiked this trail 1000 times. Snorkeling is decent - sometimes the water clarity isn’t the best. We liked taking the public transit with our group and after the hike a water taxi back to boca. Bring at least 1.5L of water per person. Thank you Alex!!

Guillermo was an excellent guide. The hike is a good workout, and we had a diverse range of abilities in our group, from a couple of teenagers with their parents, a couple of young men, and a couple of middle aged ladies. Guillermo was always making sure everyone was doing ok, and offering a hand where the grade was steep or the steps large. Being of shorter stature, I did find it very helpful that I had brought a treking pole with me. Made it easier to manage some of the steeper inclines. Would 100% recommend

All the beaches were beautiful! Alex, our tour guide made us feel safe and helped us along, those of us who needed some extra encouragement. This was our send time doing this hike and it was still worth it! If you want to explorer PV at its finest, this is a must hike. Just be prepared as it may be a bit challenging for some folks.
