Itinerary
This canyoning tour is a sportive challenge and will show you an insight of rural Madeira. Hidden in a beautiful valley lies this green canyon, where time seems to stand still. After a short walk through a rural area, we will reach to the beginning of the canyon. All year round water flows in this canyon. We come across 5 different rappels varying in altitude up to 12 meters, 2 small slides and 2 small jumps (optional). The trees in this canyon are covered with mystic tree beard and we will also encounter fennel (funcho), where the capital Funchal is named after. At the end of the canyon we walk in ten minutes, back to the starting point.

Incredible experience and guides! I will say, the hiking parts were HARD but if you’re up for that, it’s an amazing experience. Our guides were so fun, patient, personable and really knew their stuff safety-wise. Would definitely recommend starting here at the beginner stage.

Best decision I ve made this trip! I had such an incredible day doing canyoning! Marcos and Paulo were absolutely brilliant and gave us the best day! All was safe as well and we could trust them 1000% as they were there every step of the way. So much fun thank you so much!

This is something that everyone has to do while they are in Madeira and is an experience that I will always remember. We left from the lokoloko storefront and traveled about 25 minutes into the mountain. We were given wetsuits, helmets and climbing shoes to change into.
We started with a minor hike and then began the fun. We first descended down small waterfall and then hiked around and through the proceeding streams. We came to a 25-meter waterfall we repelled down. From there, we spent the next couple of hours traveling through the valley coming across a dozen or more waterfalls. We had the opportunity to swim, jump from cliffs into the water and repel down waterfalls.
The scenery was beautiful as we were tucked into the valley of a large mountain range. We had a large rainstorm a few days prior which led to a ton of waterflow which made the event even more fun.
The trip group consisted of 2 guides and 6 people which was a great size. Everyone on the tour, including the guides had a blast. The guides made sure to take a lot of pictures that were then shared with us once we had finished. One of the couples of the trip came back to Madeira just to come canyoning again and another couple booked a trip for the following day.
I would 100% do this again and think it was the best experience I had while on the island.

Girlfriend and I did both Canyoning with Lokoloko and had an amazing time. Average/Below average fitness and largely first timers to Canyoning, Vitor was a fantastic guide and we will definitely come again!

We wanted to try canyoning for the first time and booked the tour in Nun's Valley. We loved it so much, that two days later we booked the Advanced Tour in Ribeira Funda Valley. Special shout-out goes to our guides Vitor and Sander: they were super fun to be around and we felt completely safe at all times. Plus thanks to their great photo skills, we now have beautiful memories of this unforgettable trip for our photo album.

We went on the canyoning trip today and it was AWESOME. The guides were very friendly and we gewoon lt completely safe! The nature was beautiful and the guides took lots of pictures and videos! Everything was perfectly arranged and I would definitely recommend it!
